Games you won't try

What is that one game you just won't try for whatever reason? A game you just don't care about. Not something you dislike but something you just don't even really think about because it never seemed interesting to you. And give a reason as to why you feel that way about the particular game.

Im not big into any story driven game. If I have to pay attention to a story I wont enjoy it. That knocks out a large portion of the sony titles, and may RPGs.

Anything with anime art

This too

Simulator games.
Especially work related ones like Euro Truck Simulator. I would want my dad every day as a kid come home from work pissed off and sit in front of the PC slowly driving a truck for hours straight like some kind of autist. He never smiled unless he was fucking around in that simulator.

Why?

dark souls, it just seems so.. generic. i like challenge and having games to sink hours into, but dark souls just seems so unforgivably generic and tedious to me from what i've seen of it (which admiteddly, isn't much.)

Story as in cutscenes? What about environmental storytelling? What about optional lore logs?

I'm a straight male with no intention of transitioning into a female

Last Of us 1 and 2 and god of war ps4

Im fine with passive story. Obviously its almost impossible to find a game with no story. But if knowing the story is required to progress, thats when I lose interest.
Its actually odd because I actually really love passive story telling and world building. Path of Exile and Grim Dawn both do that.

Your tastes are valid, your faggotry is not

Minecraft and Terraria. It's cool Terraria has apache helicopters but eh.
I guess ANY sports game too. I feel like you're tried them once, you've tried them all.

I said list a reason, dumbass
Yeah I agree with you actually. It never seemed interesting from an atmospheric perspective

I'm not saying this in a "fuck you aaaaaaa" FromSoft drone way, but I did feel exactly the same way before ever trying it. Ended up playing the game at a friend's place after years of ignoring it and I was really hooked from then on.
Not saying you should buy it, but if you get the chance to try the game out have a go.

On the opposite spectrum, I think Darksouls art direction and world is awesome. But its so tedious to play. I did not enjoy beating it. I know, get gud. Dont care.

Crash Bandicoot has always looked so boring to me. Just walking TOWARDS the camera (what the fuck?) and trying to jump on a lot of boxes. All the levels look so bland.

Well childhood trauma seems to play a big role in this one
When is knowing the story ever required to progress?

Anything that tries to emphasis story over gameplay. I like it when my games have story in them but with stuff like Nier Automata or God of War 2018 where the story is very clearly meant to be the main focus over the actual gameplay, I can't really be interested. I play video games to play video games, not watch a movie.

Anything Bethesda makes.
None of the games really entice me. Care to redpill me on some absolute must plays before I die?

Kek that's pretty fair. Crash does look kind of bland most of the time
It's like you're reading my mind. Minecraft looks like I'd be bored out of my skull

That's fair. It always feels weird when you're not interacting with the game for long periods of time.

I can't really give you any recommendations. A lot of the stuff I like is niche and rarely talked about on Zig Forums

RTS games. Fighting games. Thinking/reacting quickly stresses me the fuck out

I dont fuck with pvp

Not the user you're talking to but why the FUCK does a game not being popular on Zig Forums mean that YOU can't give recommendations? That is some MK Ultra psyop hivemind singularity shit you're spouting there "user"

>Any game with """realistic""" graphics
"""Realistic""", """good""" graphics just look bland and ugly to me. Stylization is a must. Immersion is a meaningless buzzword.

I can't relate as I enjoy fighting games but I could see how they'd be overwhelming

Any RTS game

I assume it doesn't need saying in this thread, but I will never understand the appeal of buying a new FIFA game every single year

JRPGs in general

You can be immersed in a game without the graphics being realistic, immersion is more than just realism. I do completely agree with your post though.

That's fair. It's a way less forgiving experience compared to singleplayer
Care to give examples?
Well niche games are often harder to get access to or aren't super intuitive so it's hard to recommend something like that because the average Zig Forums user is a massive brainlet

>When is knowing the story ever required to progress?
Required was the wrong word. When its the main point of progressing. This is common in many games centered around a single playthrough. There are lots of story driven games.

Helltakers

ill consider it, my backlog is big at the moment but if i go to a friends place or something i'd give it a run.

Well thats just good reasoning. Those that buy fifa constantly are being played for fools.

Problem isn't playing some game or other, or refusing to do so. It's the pathological need to tell everyone that you did, like the fat, needy attention whore you are.

Fighting games

Never even heard of this. Apparently it's a dating sim?

>Care to give examples?
Death Stranding, both TLoU, CoD, AssCreed, and MHW all do this off the top of my head.
