Usage has decreased but it's still a huge threat in the current format. It's mostly that the meta has shifted to new strategies, but I've still seen people using it quite successfully on the VGC ladder and ranked mode in game. He's far from being "shit".

I main pt, most pt mains agree that ivysaur is the worst one. All you have to watch out for is dair uair upb and side b. Besides that, the character cant do much since his tilts are slow and his dash attack is just OK.

PT main with 2000 hours here. Yea charizard and squirts carry him. Ivy is amazing, but his neutral blows because he is slow. Charizard is fast as fuck for some reason, and his back air steals games
