I just got banned on Overwatch for 4 months because i was playing only Torbjon. I never spoke in voice, never typed as I disabled communication. Got banned for game sabotage since I got mass reported. Anybody else lose their accounts like this?

Just to add. This video is very real. They reported a dummy account they made for griefing and it got banned. Mind you this account had no gameplay time at all and Blizzard even denied the appeal for the account.

Overwatch is pretty fucked in this regard.
I got a 3 week ban because I wrote "blacked" in chat when getting kills, enough white teenagers reported me for it I guess.
Still don't regret it one bit, imagine getting baited that easily.

It's your fault for not being a team player. What are the chances that every single game you played had circumstances where it was beneficial you play torb? Its likely there were many times that your team would have been better off had you played someone else. Your ban is justified and you shouldn't agree to TOS if you are going to complain when they are enforced.

The report system in Overwatch isn't reviewed by a human being. It's soley based off report threshold. It's around about 50-100 reports before you are banned. So in theory you can get banned for literally anything since Blizzard only save chatlogs nothing else.

You guys are missing the point. Blizzard have clearly stated several times you cannot get banned for one tricking. They even unbanned a streamer because he got banned fort one tricking. So you're missing the point sorely.

Nope, but it's along the lines of "Due to being reported so many times, we have temporarily suspended your account. This ban expires November 11th". I urge all of you to mass report right now, you can't get banned for false reporting unless you are doing it on stream and Blizzard can't disprove reports.

I believe in ostracism. If you were playing a sport and 90% of the people you met wanted you gone, you would be booted.

Physical media is king. You can do whatever you want with it. But if you experience an unfair ban on PS4/Xbox you're at the mercy of a giant corporation who will just step on you like a bug if you even try to appeal. I can imagine people losing their $500 worth accounts due to reports.

50-100 and even as little as 30 reports is not 90% of the community user. It's appalling you can be yeeted out of money because other people don't like your play style. This is where games as a service brings us, a bleak dark dystopian gaming industry. That reset button is coming and hopefully it wipes Sony and Microsoft out and makes room for better companies.
