What are some times the PC version wasn't the right version?

What are some times the PC version wasn't the right version?

>I can still play it on PC, faggot.

I don't care, that's not the point, suck dick.

never.
even at their worst, eventually the pc version is better than any console version
that said: spiderman 2

That one shmup that has Morrigan exclusively for the Dreamcast.

yeah probably spider-man 2

Almost anything before the late 2000s

Grand Theft Auto: IV. To this day, modders haven't even fixed how shitty it is and it's been over a decade.

The forest from snake eater looks like dog shit on an emulator

mgs2 had this PC port that was dreadful. Honestly, mgs2 is a dreadful game and the bug's and glitches made it more interesting

saints row 2, if the pc version is worse than its console counterparts it's usually because of bad performance due to lack of optimisation, which is increasingly common these days as devs are lazy and expect people will just brute force with better hardware.

Dead or Alive 5 is a port of the PS3 version rather than the PS4 version, so it's missing a stage, destructible outfits, and a few graphical effects.
The Shenmue I & II ports have a framepacing bug that, as far as I know, never got patched out or modded.
Both games have a framecap that makes it the same as the console versions anyway, so even they don't even have that as an advantage.

Sonic Heroes, to go with your pic. PC version was based on a buggier earlier build. Best version is GameCube.

Not a "computer" computer but most ports for systems like the Atari ST or commodore Amiga were dogshit

Have you played it on console? The game had a ton of issues, especially at launch, but you could still play it at a more stable frame rate on a somewhat average PC, not to mention at a higher resolution.

The FF7 1998 PC port that was based on an earlier version of the game and had MIDI soundtrack.

Only at the cost of using windows live

>They had promised a pc patch

It's been 8 months and still nothing

is still better than the console

Kind of a cheat answer but Deadly Premonition. It crashes more often on PC than on any other platform. It actually doesn't crash at all on the 360.

Every PS2 GTA

fpwp

are you playing it on an android phone?

PC port of Kung Fu Panda is absolute trash unless you have one of the originally supported video cards, which are all old dinosaurs. Software mode looks dreadful and you are better off playing on PS3 or Xbox 360.

Also, Spider-Man 2 had arguably the worst PC port of all time. It was not even the same game.

removed in latest release, keep up.

they fixed it

they slightly improved it by removing Windows Live and made it worse by gutting a bunch of radio stations. You still can't play over 30fps without it glitching out

Because it's being done by two guys in their off-time. They said it was 70% done a few months ago, though.

DRM makes the game unplayable without crack in modern systems and cutscenes don't scale to resolution. The last issue is annoying.

Holy shit i forgot about i-ninja

>all these people hating on PC

the shills are out in force again

007 Nightfire had the driving sections removed on the PC.

Right, because PC ports are always pristine, wonderful versions, hmm? Shut the fuck up.

>stop talking negative about PC

why? legitimate question, i actually dont know.

basically any truly awful PC port. all those from the early 2000s come to mind.

>worst feature removed
good

Apparently the PC versions of GTA San Andreas are not so great

007 Nightfire on PC is a different game with different missions and much worse everything. It's not just 'they removed a feature' it is outright a fully new game.

stop badmouthing the PC its perfect

>mfw the original version is still better than the Director's Cut versions

Spider-Man 2 on PC is a different game, right?
Also Megaman, Dragon Quest, original RE4 and DMC3.

dragon quest xi

PC versions left out graphical elements that they didnt bother to replicate. Xbox versions have some but not all. Mods claim to restore everything that's missing but they're full of shit. Better to just emulate on PCSX2, except for SA, input lag.

Any of those old games where the PC version wasn't even the same game as consoles

but it is nooooowwww!!!!!

This. You have to spend like 3 hours applying mods and testing to see if it fucking works right before you can play it. It is absolutely not worth the hassle, just emulate the original version.
>but muh graphix
Get over it.

emulation is ALWAYS better

Saint's Row 2
