Blazing Chrome is a much better pixelart effort, really nailed the Genesis aesthetic.
Is this game good?
Dunno if your interested but someone has footage up of 2 now youtu.be
The game has like chapters now or something. He beats the first chapter. No sight of Miriam yet
Yeah it's good
Cool, I might buy it eventually when there's a sale on Steam.
Could drown this thread in old fighting game stages.
OP pic is a modern game. It looks awful on crt and was clearly done with modern displays in mind.
Was gonna post the MS3 Crab but that's a cliche. Instead appreciate the majesty that is Raiden from Ninja Warriors Once Again.
A chad among chads.
Older fighting game stages always made/make me want to explore the world around them
Has the translation for this been finished yet?
I can't tell if you're aware that Odallus and Blazing Chrome are from the same developer or not.
They also made a title called Oniken. The games were developed using Clickteam Fusion, the same thing used by AVGN Adventures, Freedom Planet, Five Nights at Freddies, etc.
Odallus is very much real pixel art though.
Lecarde Chronicles switches between great pixel art and hideous at the drop of a hat. I really wanna like it considering the effort put into it, but I just can't mesh with it.
Odallus was imitating NES aesthetic, I don't know why you're comparing a game that imitates NES to a game that imitates Genesis, consoles that are whole generation apart. Not to mention it's same devs.
I really wanted to post gifs of stages from Darkstalkers 1, cause some of them look so fucking cool looking. But I couldn't find them in a size small enough.
