What is this? A thumbnail for minions?

Maybe now you can finally play a real game. Also the only reason you ranked up is cause the game is dead and everybody left

Dead on PC maybe, I have literally zero issues finding ranked matches on PS4. On average I wait probably 60 seconds for a match against same ranked players.

I fucking suck so much dick at this game, but it's fun.

it's definitely one of those games that scratches an itch literally nothing on else the market does. Mordhau didn't do it, chivalry didn't do it. I don't know what it is about FH but I have played it for 4 fucking years since release and no matter how long a break I take from it I keep coming back to it. I can't bring myself to uninstall it because I know in two or three months I'll want to play it again

Sounds about right per PS4 target audience.

yep, bet it was mostly designed around the console 30fps

Is it still worth learning how to play this game?

no not really, not at the moment they do plan to make a lot of lights faster

it's one of the few games Zig Forums hates because it's too hard.

>because its too hard

this game has one of the lowest skill floors of any competitive game.

I remember having so much hope for this game before it released.

sadly, the balance team has this mentality for the longest time that if a hero does fine or well in one mode, they wont bother changing them

so one hero like Aramusha/Kensei does well in dominion, they wont bother to brush up their weakness in duels

the balance team is my biggest gripe with this game.

the knight favoritism is unacceptable for balance in a game like this.

It's at a very strange point in its life. Light attacks I think are all 500ms now. On PC this is stupidly easy to block and parry, but on console with wireless controllers and bad refresh rate televisisions, and the game runs at 30fps on console means even 500ms comes out a lot faster than you feel like it should. If you got into the game now, you'd be frustrated but eventually come to grips with it.

unforunately for newbies, they're going to change light attacks. Essentially they're going to hide the indicators for the first 100ms or something, so lights are going to FEEl faster without actually being faster. Keep in mind that chain pressure across the board still sucks so light spam is going to be even more dominant than it is now, unless they do something to address it, like drastically cutting down light damage for all characters.

Lights SHOULD be very low damage if they're going to be nearly guaranteed, and they should be used to get deeper into a character's chains to get to the big damage moves. but that's not what they're going to do. They're going to buff light attacks and they're still going to be doing 15, 16, 17 damage when characters only have like, 120-140 hp.

From a game design standpoint it really is NOT as easy as people think. If a character does well in 4s but poorly in duels, you have to find ways to increase their 1v1 effectiveness without pushing them into the overpowered territory of 4s.

and then theres lawbringer who just does good at everything but then the devs leave him alone, what a joke

Im actually thinking of an overhaul of feats really

to be in duels in a sense of classic fight game meter for doing both defense and offence, sadly the devs probably cannot implement this until a possible FH2 (which is a long shot)

what does it say about me that I main Orochi?

it says that you're a weeaboo

but roach has good fashion and excellent executions.

Law only benefits from the flawed defensive meta. He has BIG FUCKIN DAMAGE off parries, so that is what he is incentivized to do. His moves all cost a fuckton of stamina; one or two chains and he is already OOS. If he gets parried ONCE he's nearly out of stamina. Once again, because of this he is incentivized to play defensively.

If Law were allowed to play offensively, he'd be no more broken than any other character. Instead of changing stamina around, perhaps by having blocking consume the defender's stamina at a greater rate than the attackers, they think changing lights around to be nearly guaranteed will be a good idea.

The dev team recognizes the problem, but they are very clearly choosing a poor solution.

They should honestly stop updating this game and make a 2nd one. They have a good system here, just not executed very well. And it all started cause For honor was heavy on defensive play in the beginning of its lifespan. Or keep testing ideas on this one and see what can stick when you make For Honor 2

The developers have stated before, I think in a Warrior's Den in year 1 or 2, that feats were never actually meant to be balanced. They were just there for bad players to get easy hits in.

Also, just ten minutes ago
>playing Cent
>mirror match in ranked
>for some reason i dodge EVERY FUCKING TIME this Cent goes into punch, even though he literally ALWAYS feints it into a GB
>I fall for this every goddamn time and lose 0-3

>next game against a zerker
>fuck I hate zerkers
>land the kick-light and feint punch
>he immediately goes into dodge attack
>parry, heavy, feinted punch
>he goes into dodge attack again, gets parried again
>does this ALL FUCKING GAME

I don't know how I got into diamond and I don't know how some of these other people got into diamond.

I mostly just play vs. AI these days and it's pretty comfy. Ubi screwed this game before it even came out with all the dumb decisions but it's still pretty fun and there's not really anything else like it.

can't stand bot matches. My bots are always level 3 and even tho ubi said they updated bots to fall for feints and block/parry less, they still put me on my ass 90% of the time.

Yeah I've had a couple matches where the AI puts up a real good fight but even back when I sucked it was preferable to having actual people whine in chat and rage quit. Of course, this was before they switched to dedicated servers so rage quits were a much bigger deal. I imagine if it hadn't been for that I would've stuck with PvP as my primary game mode. The benefit is I've played vs bots for so long that I can carry most matches myself since I know the AI's patterns.

I love reworked cent. His kick was sped up, so it's like a more telegraphed Wl headbutt. People are quickly conditioning themselves to react to a Cent's forward dodge with a side dodge, and they always seem to forget that Cent can chain from a missed kick right into a heavy. He just has so many fucking options.

>Forward dodge
>if they don't dodge, kick
>if they dodge, GB, flying heavy, or chain into heavy

That's four fucking outcomes from just a dodge. I love it.

i'm just hoping the general comes back when we get a new hero and I can't wait for the inevitable bitching when it's another chinaman

anyways post mains and fashion

>feats are for bad players to get hits in
>but if you preform poorly in a match you won't get your feats
>but the good players and the ganksquads do get their feats
fucks sake they can't even do that right.

Recently tried playing for honor on pc, real shame how its so much better and yet, its dead on pc and alive on consoles

It's a knigger with a cape and greatsword unironically.

PC players are fickle as fuck, I don't know why.

And what truly baffles me is the devs are changing things up because of the defensive meta that absolutely dominates the PC game with an iron grip, but only loosely dictates meta on console which has a relatively fuckhuge playerbase.

It just makes zero sense.

Proofs suka

why would they give highlander to knights that's so dumb
