I heard you can play alone now on your own little private server if you shill out a few extra bucks
Is Fallout 76 fun?

It depends. If you like the scavenging and exploring aspect of fallout 4 then you are good. If you want a real rpg like new vegas and earlier games then you will not like it. There are repetitive daily quests and stuff too. If you have a friend to play with then that will enhance it. It is nothing special, but It can be fun. I was gifted it by a buddy and played for a good amount of time.
It's better than 3 in 4 in every way. The old, pre-wastelanders quests are fairly mediocre. The new quests are better than 4, at least.
If you primarily like exploring and scavenging, it's a really good fucking time.
My ranking of the new FO games is: NV > 76 > 3 > 4
Why did bethesda finally actually make an effort in the mutant designs in this fucking game of all things?
It gets boring after you do everything, since the endgame is so damn weak (nothing to do, literally besides turn in 20 tickets for daily).
Sure thing op! If you give us an extra $15.99 every month we can delete all those annoying real players too!
If you like the loot n' shoot that is Fallout 4 then 76 is fine. One issue though. Eventually material costs become astronomical and you start skipping even weak encounters because the repair cost is too high. The game is really bad with swarming you too if you play solo.
The private servers are mostly useless, PVP is opt -in, you would have to go afk to die to non PVP player damage. Their only purpose is to make sure the map stays scaled to your level rather than to whoever was in the area first.
you should not support this piece of shit company. don't buy any of their trash.
>Is Fallout 76 fun?
Yes.
>It gets boring after you do everything
The sale JUST ended. Are you seriously considering buying this full price?
Just stick to 1,2 and New Vegas, games that are cheaper and infinitely more enjoyable
Not even. I spent around 300 hours in this game.
Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas didn't get boring after you did everything. It just made you want to do it all over again.
Why would you even consider it? There're so many actually good games you could be playing instead.
some fucker on my friends list plays it a lot, but he's Russian so there's no way to tell
I hate fallout 4 but still have hundreds of hours in it.
It’s fun (with mods), but I just feel the older games have a more fulfilling version of fun, more than just looting and shooting.
Hours played don’t really matter
That is what gets me
>new mutants and monsters
>more detailed landscape of real life area
>uses irl legends of area as well
>for shitty mmo game that bombed hard
It's like elder scrolls 6 just being a reskinned skyrim but make elder scrolls shelter have new lore and can fight akaviri.
>Is Fallout 76 fun?
No
Its a worse version of fallout 4
Combat is worse
Exploration is worse
Bugs are worse
Story is better but that's only because it's almost non existent
>no modding capability because it’s an always online MMO
>sunken cost fallacy, the image
i remember those people complaining animal crossing has no content after like 600 hours of gameplay
Is there a single player aspect to it?
I was playing a little today, it's improving but not by much. Fun? I wanna say no. Everyone says Wastelanders was a fun experience but all I got out of it was fetch quest after fetch quest going back and forth when I swear updates over the dang pip-boy would of saved time. It's still a time waster if I wanna just shoot random stuff but fuck paying for private servers. This game is an example with a lot of problems I have with big open world games like this, you got a big ass world but lack luster minimal content.
is there even any challenge in this game or is it a relaxing kind of experience? how is the community? is it sweaty? min maxing? grindy?
It's really not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I enjoy it except for everything being heavy and having limited inventory space.
there is plenty

you don't really understand what sunk cost fallacy means, do you? try not to use terms you don't understand, people might think you are an idiot.
>entirely fluff and minor graphics changes
>greentext instead of argument
>moving the goalposts
now fuck off
>challenge
up to you, map is scaled somewhat similarly to skyrim/fo4 where you start in low level area and there are high level areas you can travel to later on, there are some moments where you definitely will choose if you really want to pick some fights or not, but overall the game is on easy side.
>relaxing
mostly comfy but up to you again, you can stick to building up your camp which turns it into fallout: sims, or you can go into some moments where you will shit your pants if not prepared or if you want a challenge
>community
70% friendly, 20% ignoring you, 10% assholes, pretty good desu
>sweaty
pvp oriented players can be sweaty af
>minmaxing
sucks fun out of a game, you end up oneshotting everything with current most popular build which is like skyrim stealth archer times ten
>grindy
if you are after some endgame gear and newest shit added with bulion system, very
if you are a casual and just wanna play the damn game, you will have plenty of everything you need
Are you retarded?
Fluff such as different loading screens and texture changes barely even count as mods compared to ones that actually change gameplay and add content, which you would get on a single player game
>if you shill out a few extra bucks
And why would someone for f76?
there are Titty mods for coomers, hud/interface improvements, quality of life changes, community fixes and even text chat mod because beth cant be arsed to implement one.
if you are bitching that fo76 is not a singleplayer game you might as well use the same argument about WoW/GW2 or any MMO for the matter
>Challenge or relaxing?
I say it's slightly challenging at first but that ends quickly after level 10 or so. Can be relaxing just wandering, lootin' and shooting.
>Community?
I've only had two people talk to me in game and it was less than 30 seconds each time and one of those times was a guy trying to mic spam way back when the game first released.
>Min Maxing?
Not that I know of. There seems to always be a flavor of the month build everyone runs and this time it's bloodied builds for bloodied weapons (less than 20%HP I think) but I don't do that.
