My gaming chair is around 2 years old and the faux leather is starting to peel a bit. Not a bad run considering I got it for $100, which was much cheaper than the actual office chairs at my local office supplies shop. Going to throw it away for an actual leather chair though.

As a tall and heavy guy I went through a lot of chairs in my life but I got a dxracer classic 2 years ago and it's good as new. I sat on a bunch of gamer chairs and they all sucked but this one is perfect, fixed my back and made my life absolute bliss

Bought a Herman Miller Aeron years ago when I started a job that had them. They're expensive but you can sit in them for basically an entire day and they're still comfortable.

I bought a DX Racer chair for like $140. I don't think an office chair at that price would be as good, though I wouldn't pay more than what I paid for a gaming chair. And all the super legit office chairs are at least $500.

"gaming chairs"...they are not comfortable unless you are a girl or a manlet, the only one I'd like to try is the Noble Chairs HERO, so far I tried and sent back the Sparco gaming chair and the Secret Lab Titan XL, the first one had really hard hinges, making manspreading a painful experience, the second one was made with even shittier PU "leather" and the ergonomy was horrible, my lower back was in true pain.

Mesh office chair hands down better. I bought into the racer meme, its stupidly hot, hurt my back because of its design for the first month or two after long sits, ended up tossing it out getting a high back mesh office chair and its so much better in like every way.

I bought a "gaming" chair since it was on sale and I had a coupon so I got it for less than half the price.
It got delivere to my door and it had these cringey epic gaming slogan shit all over the packaging, picking it up from the mail man was just embarrassing. Putting it together tok hours and it's not even comfortable. The upper portion as sides are arched forward so it forces me to sit like a hunchback, I can't straighted my neck and shoulder without lifting my back off the backrest. This shit is designed to give you bad posture. I fucking hate it, it's so damn ugly aswell and it makes whoever sits in it look like a fucking dork and I never let friends of family into my room because it's honestly embarrassing owning it. It also collects dust in all the crack and crevices so I have to spend 5 minutes vacuuming it.

Before I had an old office chair like pic and that was probably older than me, worked fine. Wish I just bought a new one of those instead.
