Any chance of this being delayed until after consoles launch so that consoles will have somewhat of a parity to 2 year old pc's instead of being outdated again at launch?

It's a different target audience, I doubt that.

ampere rtx three thousand dollars
no offence but not worth the price,
gaming just isnt that good right now to justify it

by the time some decent next gen games come out, the 4000 rtx series would be out, at least, if not 5000 series

If you waited from the 9xx series it will probably be a worthy upgrade.

I hope that 3080ti is reasonably priced. My build is from 2012, with the rumors of seventy dollar games being the norm next gen I would like to move back over to the PC side for the piracy benefit.

Although I know I'm gonna end up using this PC exclusively for shitposting and playing old classics that could be run on
a toaster, just like when I did my 2012 build.

I hope not, I'm waiting to build a new pc soonish.

I'll get one if they have the MSRP of the Super line up and not the original RTX lineup. Also only if the Ampere rumors are true that the RTX on performance cost is neglectable.

They will be "outdated" at launch either way, you think they'll match a RTX 2080 ti? lol

They'll outperform 99.97% of pc gamers atleast. If a 3060 or 3070 matches the 2080ti this will get more people above the new console baseline.

Yeah just like the PS4 did at relase right, a 780ti, that was the most powerful GPU back then still shits all over the base consoles. Maybe it even shits on the updated consoles. They said the same thing about lkast gen, and same shit about the updated Xbox being so powerful, it gets a little repetitive to listen to the same marketing over and over.

Are there any decent PC games that I could run? I bought my desktop about a year ago and have really only played Skyrim and Oblivion. It's a GeForce GTX 1050 TI.

the 780ti is poo poo pee pee. the equally old and cheaper HD 7970 however is fine.

>I hope that 3080ti is reasonably priced
rumor is over 2k since the 2080ti is nearly 1.5k

what's the CPU

the graphics card is in between the original PS4/Xbone and the pro/x, so pretty much you can play 30fps console game ports at medium-high 30 fps 1080p. If the game is older 60 fps/whatever settings 1080p.

nigga they are putting 150 dollar coolers on them.

>pc larp tranny false flag thread
kill yourself

Fucking kek, PS5 it is.

nvidia took fermi drivers out behind the barn and blew their brains out

Intel Core i5 9040 CPU @ 2.9 GHz

>2.9 GHz

it's good processor fren, it can do fine, utterly shits on the current gen consoles

Thanks. Might start playing more games on it.

upgrade my i7 8700 non k to a ryzen 3700x?

nothing from 2013 is shitting on current consoles

You can run any PC game at 1080p60 with that card.

no unless you're doing render workloads or something like that
if it's just video games there won't be any difference, you are 1000x better off spending any money on a gpu upgrade

aight then
nvidia hurry the fuck up with your 3000s

why? That cpu should hold fine for the next 2 years since most games will be crossgen with last gen consoles, infact microsoft insists on developers to keep making games compatible with the One S. Just get a ryzen 5700x by then when the time comes.

alrighty

Your CPU is already better for gaming. I see no reason to switch platforms on your stage.
Not to mention, the 4000 series should be released this year and getting 3700x at this point would not be a great idea.

Running at higher framerates at higher detail than current gen

R9 290 was $400 in 2013 and is very close to a PS4 Pro. It's not shitting on it but damn those were good cards.

>imagine being so fucking retarded to pay the price of a PS5, a Xbox Series X and a middle range PC combined for a single GPU

>R9 290 was $400 in 2013 and is very close to a PS4 Pro.
can confirm. I can play all current gen games with my 290 as well as I can with my PS4.

thanks user

Next gen consoles are around a 1070/1080 though.

The ps5 is technically around a 1080 since a 1080 performs almost equal to a 2070, xbox series X is however is on par with a 2080 super.
