This game gameplay is dogshit and the story isn't good either

Does anyone know how to get the game to work? Its completely fucking broken and freezes everytime I enter the super duper mart.

I actually turn off iron sights in New Vegas. They obscure my vision too much.

Unpopular opinion:

Fallout 3's ending and lack of freeplay after completing the main quest wasn't a bad decision at all and was actually one of the few things I liked about the game.

why?

the game is very hard to keep stable on windows 10. i know its shitty to play on pad, but the xbox one x enhanced port is the most reliable way to play it

Get the GOG version, it works. Steam version has been broken for years.

Lack of freeplay I don't mind, but the ending in its original state was absolutely retarded and you are a brainlet if you liked that

The ending is retarded. The act of having no free play afterwards would have been fine if the ending wasn't so badly written.

I agree the ending was retarded and badly written. I'm just saying that, in spirit, I agree with their decision to give the game a sense of finality when completing the main quest.

Obviously there's trees and grass, what else would they eat?

>Fallout 3's ending and lack of freeplay after completing the main quest wasn't a bad decision at all
Fuck that, bombing super mutant overlords and burning giant scorpions is much more fun

I don't understand the point of freeplay past the ending (if there's no post-game content) in vidya in general, so the lack of it doesn't bother me, but the ending itself is a shitshow. You're forced to kill yourself for actually, genuinely, literally no reason whatsoever. They didn't even try in the slightest to justify it. To the point where your companions unironically tell you to kill yourself, again, for no reason other that they apparently wanted to see you dead this whole time.
It's so bad that I'm willing to believe it's just Todd admitting the game is a trainwreck and telling (You) the player to kill yourself for actually bothering to finish it. THAT would make more sense than what's in the game.

Did you ate the baby Zig Forums?

The entire main quest line in FO3 was pant-on-head retarded, but the real problem with it is that you aren't even the main protagonist of the story.
Every single important decision in the story is made by every single other character. This is ultimately the reason why I have zero interest in replaying FO3 because the main questline relegates you to the role of an overglorified errand boy for the actual important players.

>wtf why does the game set in the desert look like a desert?

You mean just like NV?

There's a patch that allows for more than 4 GB of RAM. That may be your problem. That fixed my issues. Also PSA, never quicksave and disable autosaves. They cause save corruption and can degrade performance. That's true of every Bethesda game since Morrowind.

You hate Oblivion that much huh?

>b-b-b-but NV does the same thing!
No, it doesn't, Todd.
In NV, you can CHOOSE not to be an errand boy and simply strike it out on your own. The game gives you opportunities to play each faction to your own advantage and then rise to the top as king.

NV on the ps3 is a spectacle to behold if you leave autosaves on and play for more than 50 hours with one character. the game hard crashes your console while having 15 minute load times

>In NV, you can CHOOSE not to be an errand boy and simply strike it out on your own.
You mean just like FO3 because in the end you have your own personal spaceship with a deathray.

The only real problem I had with 3 was the lack of ADS
It was the late 2000s, there was literally no reason not to include it
But then again, that's what mods are for

>not even a main questline
>citing a shitty linear questline in a shitty DLC as an example of Bethesda letting players have freedom in their game

Oh no no no n on o

it's fine for an ending to a game to exist, but the main quest line didn't feel like an ending to a game

>it works
Fuck off, Todd

>played New Vegas "a shit tonne"
>didn't find trees and grass
is this a bait?

now you're making up a headcanon

FO3 is full cringe. Soulless as shit.

New Vegas is better

It reminds of the first time I watched Mad Max 1. I was expected a desert wasteland instead it's just fucking rural australia
