Anyone plays it? I just picked it up with the game pass. Anyway to turn down the motion effect on waves, I really wasn't feeling that good during a storm. Any advice for me while playing it

I played it for a couple of hours and ran out of content.

>Any advice for me while playing it
Yes, turn it off and go play something good instead.

kys

It's great.

Go play salt on steam instead 10 times the content than the piece of shit that is SoT

And yet Sea of Thieves is more fun. Interesting.

Find some friends to play with. Don't take it too hard when other players sink your ship.

it's objectively the best game in terms of sailing a ship. though it has very little content. I honestly have no idea what those devs spend their time doing.

They put out new content literally every single month.

their new "content" is like adding sprinkles to an ice cream with one scoop. yeah you appreciate the sprinkles but you really just want another scoop.

And what would a "scoop" be?

a mission and objective restructure that addresses the repetitive tasks.

Such as?

Not him, but fighting something else than skeletons all the time.
If you make a pirate game, let me play as a pirate and rob some goddamn merchants.

You rob other players.

Isn't that what the PvP is for?

There's like 12 mission/objective based quests now, each takes an hour or two (assuming you do absolutely nothing else during the time you are doing the quest, no stopping along the way)

They're other pirates, not merchants and I suck at the PvP

And also the non-mission based objectives, like the Kraken, Fort of the Damned, or Flameheart's Fleet.

what you want me to do bud? fix the game right now? I'm not a developer dumbass. you know what else I think? season 8 of game of thrones sucked ass but does that mean I have all the answers to fix it? fuck no. because it ain't my god damn job. you know who's job it is to fix the game? rare. so they need to figure it out. I don't care if they do or don't. life goes on. though if they want that game to be the playerbase they want, they gotta fix it and that's their job to figure out. just because I don't know how doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist.

If you don't know what you want, then your criticism is meaningless.

>If you don't know what you want, then your criticism is meaningless.
not him but that's a retarded take. the problems with SoT are obvious after playing it for a few hours. Just because the people who notice it don't have the answers to fix it, doesn't mean the problem isn't there. They're just going to drop the game and not think about it anymore.

Demanding people to give you the solution and if they don't, then the problem is not a thing is a retarded take.

>that game is repetitive
>well unless you can write me a complete design document detailing the exact content you want to add, that's not valid criticism
Go back to playing your boring game.

>played $1 demo with friends
>ran out of things to do in two days
>friends are MMO grind tier players and want me to come back so I can help them repeat the same missions over and over
>this happens for almost a month until they finally stop playing it too
How the fuck do people form habits that cause them to play games like this? They literally exhausted themselves on an unfinished game and wasted their efforts trying to get me to play the same game for a month straight instead of trying other games.

>anime poster has no attention span
Color me surprised.

Pretty much. I like the art style, and it's fun sailing, but once you've fought a few skeletons, done a bit of PvP and solved a puzzle or two, you've done it all.

I knew some faggot was going to post this, so I had this response ready: I just like big pancakes, idiot

Great game. Confirmation that Rare is back. Can't wait for Everwild.

>friends are MMO grind tier players and want me to come back so I can help them repeat the same missions over and over
>this happens for almost a month until they finally stop playing it too
I finally learned to say no this type of pressure. my gaming friends got into the division and I could already tell that it's a game that will get boring after a month. they bugged and bugged me about it and I never gave in and bought the game. sure enough, almost exactly a month later they stopped playing it.
predictable af

It's less boring when you play with Zig Forums. We're organized on Trannycord.

>no attention span
Same friend I was bitching about is also playing Total Warhammer coop campaign with me now, but good cope.

Would you?

Life sucks and gives you no value or feedback but little number finally going ding and giving you a new hat almost satisfies the feeling. Sea of Thieves is nothing but this, even beyond other boring grindy second job type games. We should all be thankful that fad of trying to gamify work could never really get off the ground.

Alright, so it seem like people are split on SoT how about we try and find another game on the game pass. Anyone has any picks? I never got into The Witcher series, just jump into 3?

This, MMO's provide dopamine because it's the most fundamental 'perform task, receive positive feedback' loop
