IGN just released their inside look on Shadow Warrior 3 with exclusive gameplay footage. Seems like the game will be more focused on single player experience seen in the first game rather than looter shooter co-op of Shadow Warrior 2.

It looks like janky DOOM eternal

Looks polished to me

It's within the acceptable jank threshold, provided the jank isn't worse in other parts of the game.

I cant deal with "lol so random" games anymore.

>blending doom, Duke Nukem, and a samurai sword
God, I fucking hate journalists

it looks good

I just wanted some wang, instead I get this wanker.

lol 80's references and bad gameplay my favorite

I know. How could this game ever step to fucking Duke Nukem?

Douk was surpassed by shadow warrior in the 90's and today the best build game is ion fury.

I asked how THIS game could challenge the Duke, not the obviously good OG SW.

>BAWWW UNAPPROPRIATED DIALOG BAD
I fucking HATE these clowns.

>He likes video games, comic books, American films. We wanted to shift the humor toward these things.
Ah yes, can't wait for those amazing capeshit quips.
Then again, I know that the old nuke-loving pervert isn't coming back, and honestly anything is better than the second half of the SW Remake.

Now IGN being faggots aside, this does look really good. I'm really surprised, I lost all hope for this after the loot BS.

My god do people actually like the humor?
I thought it was purposefully lame

The IGN guy highlights how insensitive the humor was of the original Shadow Warrior to get brownie points and also because he's an easily offended modern day pussy.

With that being said, the gameplay looks good, but my only concern is with the items flying out of enemies when you kill them. Is that how you get your health and armor back? How is that any different from modern Doom games?

Yet DOOM Eternal looks like janky Shadow Warrior 2

I think those flying things are from the clown enemy. They're projectiles, not items to collect

The aerial movement, particularly around grappling, seems to have a lot of hacky solutions, like making the player snap to the ground if they're "close enough" with a jump.

Duke's last game was Forever and the series currently stuck in Randy's underwear. A wet blanket could challenge Duke and win at this point.

Would I have had to play the first two games to know whats going on? Or are they self contained?

I sincerely hope you're right. They look to me like item drops, but they may as well be small projectiles. It's hard to tell.

>UE4
Better not be EGS exclusive.

They're projectiles, you can see them coming out the weapon at the end of the video.

Look at the part where he's firing the clown gun, they're firework projectiles.

>EGS exclusive
It's already got a page up on Steam luckily

this is the funniest part.

Eternal ripped off Shadow Warrior 2 so much, including enemy designs.

is there any real correlation between use of UE4 and EGS exclusivity? I don't think Epic is really trying to promote their own engine with these deals (they don't need to, really)

sw2 had a great photo mode and could upscale to 8k
fairly underrated game imo

I can't be the only one who found 2 utterly boring, right? maybe I'm just tired of looters, but damn, I just couldn't keep going.

Epic reduces their royalty percentage for UE4 games on their store, plus they've been paying people for store exclusivity so there's an air of uncertainty until it shows up on another store.

Man they really should've just made SW2 a spinoff.

It doesn't ruin the game for me

Game is on sale for 10.99 on steam right now.
