>Sequel to game is just a carbon copy with "slight" changes to it and a new location
Sequel to game is just a carbon copy with "slight" changes to it and a new location
>aye i liked that game, but do it again but totally different and not that game anymore
>Sequel to game is just a carbon copy with "slight" changes to it and uses the same location

>game is a remake of the original because they’re so scared of taking risks
This is a female move
Pic HEAVILY related
FC4 pissed me off so much because it had the makings of a great story but instead they opted for "WOAH BRO YOU GET TO FLY A GYROCOPTER NOW! WOOOOAH"
>This is a female move
More virgin words have never been written
If you enjoyed a game, why would you want the sequel to be completely different?
Speedy Eggbert 2
The epitome of this is Borderlands The Pre Sequel
People consider it to be the best in the series.
This is Nioh 2. It's more of the same thing and that isn't a bad thing when the source material is excellent.
holy fuck i almost completely forgot about Speedy Eggbert
it's been that long, hasn't it?
>More virgin words have never been written
This is a female move
>sequel is a completely different game in a completely different genre and only has the name in common with the previous entry
Literally the best kind of sequels. There is nothing worse than devs trying new shit and what could have been a good sequel falls flat on it's face.
Good, gimmicks can be shit
>borderlands 1
>borderlands 2
>borderlands 2: 2
>borderlands 2: 3
Fallout 2
I still liked it, though
>sequel to game erases the technological achievement of infinite ammo railguns with disposable heatsink cartridges
Sequel updates the graphics but removes features.
Borderlands 2 is significantly different (and better than) though. TPS is just 2 but worse, and I haven't played 3 but from what I've seen it is at least different
> This philosophy produces Mario Galaxy 2
> "Change good!" produces Sticker Star
I'll take """carbon copies""" thanks.
Only because the nemesis system was just that good. It'd be suicide to change it.
>Sequel to game is extremely similar only because of plot reasons
That's about every game from the 80's-2010's
>sequel is similar to the game before
whoaaa
The jump from Far Cry 1 to Far Cry 2
It's amazing how Far Cry fits both OP and this as a series
Worked for Mega Man, 6 times at least
>Sequel is actually the first entry in the series
and that's a good thing
