Fallout 4 has fun gameplay but is entirely unimmersive. It suffers from the kind of "anything can work but the optimal way to play is obvious" balancing which really degrades player choice in skill progression.

Because gamebryo is literally the only game engine capable or running a Bethesda game.
The engines used for GTA and Far Cry are not capable of handling the number of physics objects that Gamebryo can
if you were to try video related in GTA or a ubisoft sandbox game you'd kill the game and your computer

Basically Bethesda added in shadows to the 3/nv engine but didn’t realise that their shitty engine can’t render dense areas like cities, as well as cast shadows without totally shitting the bed. Basically their lighting engine is 20 years in the past, I’d ignore . Bethesda engine is just really bad at rendering lighting in dense areas like Lexington or diamond city, turning shadows down or off totally fixed this issue
