Osrs is the biggest offender of this. Majority of the players play Ironman which forces you to go solo because that's the only way to enjoy the game. It should really just be an offline game so we could mod things

At least MMORPGs give a visual buffer between the players and the world their characters are in. Every time I tried playing a tabletop RPG with friends it was treated basically like an overly complicated board game.
