Seriously, why buy this if all the games will be available on the PC?

If you have a PC that's more powerful, then don't buy it.

Is not as expensive as a good PC and if is cheaper than the PS5, will be the ultimate Fortnite/CoD/FIFA machine

Because I don't want to needlessly spend more money on a more powerful gaming PC?
Why do you think the average console gamer gets a console? Do you think the average gamer owns a gaming PC more powerful than an XSeX?

T. Filtered xcucks who can’t get over them not having any games
As usual thanks for beta testing our games for us!!!!!!!!

Aside from making Microsoft money? There is no single reason.

>not having any games
How come I can play video games on my Xbox then?
Really activates my almonds.

Stop trying to become a meme

I have my shitty below average PC from half nearly half a decade ago, still functioning and I don't plan on upgrading or buying a new console till this old PC hasn't been drained of its juice

Why buy other consoles when they have worse hardware, no backward compatibility and no gamepass? How many worthwhile exclusives will the PS5 have?

Games literally don't matter unless they're unique experiences you can't play on any other console. That's the only reason to ever get a console. PlayStation has those. Nintendo has those. Even PC has exclusives. The closest thing Xbox gets to an exclusive is Halo 5 lol. Just sad.

Dude, if there are an machine that runs all multiples AND exclusives with same performance and price. Why anyone would prefer a console that no has exclusives?

>backward compatibility
>living in the past

better codec support on plex compared to the smart tv app

>friends and coworkers are literally retarded
>tell them i play games on PC
>they don't understand
>buy and xbox and play games with your friends and coworkers
that's pretty much how it works with all consoles

Because I’d rather spend $500 on this than $1000-2000 on a PC and monitor to match it.

You're right, remakes are the future! Why would I want to enjoy some classics as they were released when I can spend money to play a game that was unique in 2009 turned into a WoW clone?

>not wanting the ability to play old and new games on the same system

>pays 60$ for every game
>pays for multiplayer
oh no a gaming pc is too expensive for me

I have a girlfriend to play couch co-op with

Nigga look like jack-o-lantern

The vast majority of people get a console to play multiplats. This is fact. Obsession with "exclusives" is pure autism.
If you have a monster gaming PC and spend hundreds on new hardware in order to play a couple of games, you are a certified retard. The console will be catching dust 99% of the time.
Vast majority of people use one platform to play their games, and that's it. Maybe 2 if they care about handheld gaming.
The kind of dude who spends additional money on new hardware to play just a few games represents a very small minority of the gaming community.

>$5 a month
>buy maybe one or two new games a year at full price

Microsoft literally don't care if you buy it so long as you buy the game pass

>what are sales
Not as good as on PC, but getting there
>what are used physical games
okay, I understand not understanding this one since you are a PC cuckboi

Also, a console and an entire gen's worth of paid online (which I agree is a shitty practice but whatever) still does not reach even 1000 american dollerinos.

can't wait to get the controller for my PC

Sure, people buy the console primarily to play multiplats, but exclusives are still important, as they're the thing that decides what most people buy. Do you get the system with only multiplats, or the one with multiplats + exclusives? That's why the PS4 won last gen. Not only that, but most of the PS4's best selling games are exclusives.

PS5 = multiplats, backwards and exclusives
XBOXX = multiplats and backwards

Same price and power. So, WHY anyone consoletard would choice a XBOXX?

>BC with a select number of PS4 games
>comparable to BC with the entire Xbox One library + a select number of 360 and OG Xbox games

eeeeeexactly. That's the thing.
I remember a news site poll done some years ago, and the largest difference between PC gamers and console gamers is how many games they buy per year. PC gamers easily wnet over 15, while console gamers were usually under 5.

Because I don't game on PEECEE, faggot.

When you need to consoom you buy useless shit

>"Seriously, why have sex if everything in life is available to me as a virgin?"

Are you idiots still claiming that you all have high end PCs? Didn't Steam survey expose you all? Most of you have PCs that are just barely up to the Xbox One X. If that.

probably has something to do with the difference in amount of games and genres dontcha think?

Because it requires even less thinking than modern PC gaming. I'm not getting one but it seems obvious that many people just want as straightforward experience as possible. Gaming is cheap anyway

I have a GTX 1060 in the current year lmao I can't afford a console, let alone a better GPU

>no vr support
Literally all it took for them to lose my interest.
Even fucking Snoy supports it.

...but what does it matter if the games are "multiplat" when you do not have access to the other platform the games are in (gaming PC)?
The Xbox first-party games (whether you like them or not, they are there) are not available on Playstation. Just like how Playstation first-party titles are not available on Xbox One.
We are assuming that someone wants to buy a console here. The average console gamer, once again, uses his console to play all kinds of games (99% of which multiplats) and does not own a gaming PC.
The PS4 "won" (I don't even know why sales should matter to the customer, but whatever) for many, many reasons. Not just "exclusives". This is the problem with these gaming forums man. You need to understand that they do not necessarily represent reality. Believe it or not, not many people actually bought a PS4 for Bloodborne.
Reasons why the Xbone sold less than the PS4:
-absolutely disastrous reveal; no used games, focus on TV garbage no one cared about, focus on kinect garbage no one cared about, always-online DRM, terrible PR all around;
-cost 100 american dollerinos more despite being less powerful;
-the Xbox brand is not nearly as powerful as Playstation; with a mix of luck and timing, and great marketing, sony managed to penetrate many markets earlier than Xbox (well, the Playstation did come 1 generation before the 1st Xbox) - there are countries where people don't even know what an Xbox is (I live in one of them)
Taking into account the last point, even if the conditions were absolutely perfect (which is what happened in the X360 gen), the Xbox would never outsell Playstation. Many european countries, poorer countries, Japan, and others don't care about Xbox. Xbox is mainly an american brand.
The X360 was released a year earlier, the PS3 had a disastrous reveal and launch (and of course, nogaems), 99% of multiplats ran better on X360, and yet PS3 still outsold it in the end

And now the PS brand is stronger than ever

It is for retards, who want to replace PS4 with the next-gen consoles.

2/2
The new Xbox will sell less than the PS5, obviously
I predict initial sales to be slow. But who cares? I don't work for any of these companies. As long as it's not an Atari Jaguar level failure, it'll keep getting games.

>This argument again
Sony won this gen because Xbox had the biggest colossal fuck up possible for a next gen announcement. They had a lot of anti consumer practices they were trying to put in place like always online, $100 extra for an accessory no one wanted, it was weaker as well while being more expensive. They told anyone who didn’t have internet to fuck off and buy a 360 etc. Sony on the other hand came in completely consumer friendly for the most part and btfo Xbox with that game sharing video at e3. Xbox at launch had a better exclusive lineup than Sony. Ruse was a great showing of the power of next gen while sunset overdrive was fun as fuck. Ps4 mostly just had bloodborne for most of the early years until they started launching exclusive after exclusive. Sony won this gen early on just by not being complete retards. Wii U and Xbone on the other hand shit the bed badly.

Because if they keep up with it, it'll be the only way to play some Hueg/360 exclusives at higher resolutions. Emulation for both is dead and probably always will be.

Imagine buying a console without exclusive games. It is just an overpriced Ouya.
