I wonder if g-man has been following gordon around his entire life, or just since he started at Black Mesa?
yes I love physics setpieces
"Miiiiiister Freemaaann.... you have to invite the whole clsss to your birthday.....it isn't nice to exclude your others...."
Is this supposed to be sarcastic? That’s not inherently a bad thing
HL1 was better
I found the gunplay a little lacking compared to its predecessor and the unskippable cutscenes make replaying a bit of a chore at parts.
What did Zig Forums think of pic related?
I was so impressed with the Xen portion, I had no idea it was gonna be it's own thing instead of just a pretty remake of the original. Also kino music.

I heard of this before they finished Xen but never got around to playing it. I'll have to do that now.
>self-insert protagonist with no 0 written personality
>unskippable cutscenes that completely ruin the pacing with "level interactions"
>OP alien race you don't even fight replaced with more dude with gun because muh lore
>literal who character whose sole purpose is deus-ex machina
failed valbortions will eat this up
kek, Is G-Man my mom?
KEK Shit-Life 2
literally a movie game but a first person shooter, suck my dick
Xen is like four hours now it's actually nuts.
One of the most mediocre and overhyped games I've played, I'm genuinely amazed people ever wanted a half life 3. The game seemed forgettable to me, and I'm sure someone will call me a contrarian, and it might have been good for it's time or something but I remember playing it in 2016-2017 or so and being disappointed.
Did you even play the episodes? The only reason people want HL3 nowadays is for the cliffhanger to be resolved. The games aren't bad but I felt no need for more after ep2.
Admittedly, I only played 2, I dropped it halfway in.
Not quite the GOAR, but definitely a Hall of Fame game and very special when it came out.
Eh, hl2 was.... decent. I mean the shooting element fucking sucked balls (just like the first game) but its not bad. What i dislike however is the shotgun nerf. Why change the ammo from 8 to 6, to push the shitty gravity gun? Fuck that.
HL is my favorite series, but 2 objectively isn't the best game ever made by a longshot lol
2 still has probably the worst gunplay in a videogame i've played, the gravity gun was a cool gimmick the first 10 times when you threw something at someone, the airboat sequence was tedious and driving felt like shit(even with the buggy too), voice acting was really stiff and fake at almost all times.
that being said, its still one of my fav games of all time, but it has its faults and i can see why some people dont like it.
Gman is actually Barney Calhoun in disguise.
>playing it in 2016-2017
Yea no fucking wonder you idiot, the game came out in 2004
Anytime I replay that part, I would try and kill the metrocops that jump down on the cars mid-fall or after the hit the car for comedic effect.
I don’t like fps but its really good
>you're obviously a contrarian
no, all it takes is to actually play it, instead of nostalgiafagging about it
Half-Life set pieces were cool because they were used to tell how fucked up Black Mesa's situation was. Half-Life 2's set pieces were a bunch of traps conveniently placed around enemies and the game is just waiting for you to hit each of them even if it means taking longer than just shooting them like in that webm.
>admitting you'll only like it because of nostalgia if you played it in 2004
>worlds most unsatisfying pistol in a game
It's not even the best game in the series
