>ww2 game
>germans given bolt action
>americans given semi-automatic
nice fucking balance
Ww2 game
Get fucked kraut nerd.
>add bullet physics so that between the bullet drop, travel time, and ping between two players the Germans will never be able to kill anything that isn't point blank or running straight at them.
And that's why hell let loose is fucking garbage now.
are you retarded? HLL bullet drop is far more forgiving than PS. and I love PS. you sound retarded.
>ww2 game
>MKb. 42(H) and PPSh-41 massacre fools in the beta
>bitch ass faggots moan about dying because they got shot in a tactical shooter
>devs nerf MKb. 42(H) to often be a two shot kill instead of one, and give the PPSh-41 comically unrealistically high recoil as nerfs
Looking at you, Red Orchestra 2. Fuck people who show up to a tactical shooter wanting it to play like CoD.
historically accurate
>RO2
>Beta
>Release
RO2 is a shit game made by shit devs and anyone who praises it is a newfag
Wasn’t it a reflection of German battle doctrine of the time?
>soviets given tanks
True, I already have more hours in Rising Storm 2 and the mod and Ostfront were my favorites.
>Americans get semi-autos
>Germans get defensive advantage
Seems balanced to me.
>Germans get defensive advantage
not when they are attacking lmao
maybe they shouldnt attack everybody then
or maybe the devs should give the germans a side pistol or a semi automatic to you know
BALANCE A VIDEO GAME
They should be only on defense, if they really want to not given them semi autos because muh historal accuracy then they should also only defend because that’s mostly all the did in the final hours of the war
wehraboos btfo
the devs value realism and historical accuracy more than balance
it would be hard to ignore that give everyone BRRRRRR guns like battlefield
"While opposing forms, the offense and defense are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they cannot exist separately. For example, the defense cannot be purely passive resistance. An effective defense must assume an offensive character, striking at the moment of the enemy's greatest vulnerability. As Clausewitz wrote, the defense is "not a simple shield, but a shield made up of well-directed blows." The truly decisive element of the defense is the counterattack. Thus, the offense is an integral component of the concept of the defense." - MCDP-1
>ww2 game
>russians actually throw potatoes
>airborne section
>Americans are given M1 Carbines
>Germans are given FG-42s
hey wtf
>ww3 game
>americans defend burger king
K98 kills you in one shot
germans had better weapons though
>play realistic game heavily based on history
>complain that it's realistic
What else, complain that the Japs use Arisaka in RS and not prototype Garand knock off like in BF1943?
Just play Battlefield for symmetrical gameplay so you can around around with Suomi as Jap troop.
Works on my machine
elaborate without making a fool of yourself
did you know that the germans had no battle doctrine, they just had a vague inclination and self belief. Such was the depth of their idealism.
meanwhile the soviets invented modern battle doctrine, with the idea of the operational level between tactical and strategic level having been invented as part of their deep battle philosophy, a doctrine which is still classified today in its main source book. The US adopted what was known about it.
When the germans were put on the defensive they had nothing to go on but the most orthodox of reactive fluid defense. They did it with good precision and discipline of course but they had no way to dig themselves out of this hole.
>Muh realism
Okay where are all the German tanks and planes then? Why is that "balanced"? It wasn't in reality.
it doesnt matter in these games as recoil is negligible in these games. all that matters is RoF and usa beats the germans hands down. only reason germans ever win because all the sweaty wehraboos stack the axis side
maybe later in the war
the Garand was a game changer in the early war long rifle department
thats the crux of the problem jackass, the weapon selection doesnt allow this.
>meanwhile the soviets invented modern battle doctrine
Ah yes the "Throw millions of poor peasants at the enemy until they break through" strategy
it's crazy how much better Russia started doing once they figured out they could shoot the potatoes out of cannons
>Where are all the German tanks and planes then?
N/S from garbage logistics/manufacturing or shot out of the sky lmao.
In early war, yes. Because most country they invade are 10 years technologically obsolete. In this case, France, even with help from British, still outgunned by German because they refuse to update their armaments to keep up with German.
Until shit hits the fan when US and Soviet shows up with Garand and SVT-40. After that, German rush the G41 development, and later, G43.
Hey, it worked.
I...it worked
Germans based their squad tactics around the GPMG
They were largely missing in reality as well.
Nazi germany produced just under 50 thousand tanks of all kinds during world war 2.
The soviets build that many of just t-34s
The germans, being idealists, believe in things like 'warrior spirits' which would carry them to victory. Meanwhile the soviets knew that war is fought in the factory. This is why it outproduced germany in all things (except aircraft for 6 months) related to warfighting for the entierty of world war 2, even when it was on the defensive against the german attack.
>Me 262 blasts past your Mustang at double your speed
>banks to make another pass
>keeps going straight, never seen again
truly Germany was a terror of the skies
man just imagine if the germans werent led by idiots
The soviets made expert use of the resources available to them.
In fact deep battle doctrine does do just this, among its strategies, to defeat the classical fluid defense, which has a moderately defended line with reserves to rush to meet any attack, they attack everywhere along the defensive line simultaniously with an equally moderate force. The idea was to find a weakness. As soon as one was identified everything immediately shifted to break through.
What did they do then? Did they do something pedestrian like try to flank the defensive positions to widen the breach? Or to push back the defenders and reclaim land? No. That is not what they did. They ignored the battle entierly, and rushed deep (the deep in deep battle) behind enemy lines. Leaving the entire line hundreds of kilometers behind them, and went straight for supply lines, logistics depots, anything to weaken the front lines.
The soviets did not care about losing teritory, they had more than enough to lose, and the more they lost the worse things were on the germans because that was simply more distance for their logistics to travel, more cold for them to deal with.
They attacked only logistics and counted on time to deal with the germans. Effectively besieging the invaders from within their own controlled territory.
By the end of the war, the Soviets were equipped mainly with automatic weapons, while Germans kept trying to make Mauser cheaper and more simplified.
>implying chadrabiners aren't superior to gayrands
