How is valve not supporting a dead game an example of them being out of touch
Nothing lasts forever

Can you provide a comprehensive list of game developers who did it right by continuing to produce regular updates for their 13 year old game?

>they abandoned this game for CS:GO and DOTA moneys btw.

You sound like a third worlder

Check out how much they make from dota 2

i dunno.
It's pretty amazing TF2 is still relevant all these years later and outlasting all of it's copycats. You're kinda' getting me in the mood to play some TF2 later too....

I figure they'll get to it when they get to it.

What do you mean abandoned and how does that matter in your experience? If it's fun game then it's fun game even if it's abandoned. If it's not then you're some weirdo who plays games that he doesn't find fun

Planetside 2

abandoned?
no they killed it making it forced competitive because they felt threatened by overwatch and decided to do what they were doing.
TF2 was never a competitive game, it was a community game, but they killed the community side of it and directed people to their official matchmaking servers instead. They also redid all weapons with a focus on competitive games.
What made TF2 special? It was seeing your friend was in game, and jumping into the server as the match was ongoing to surprise them. It was being able to pub stomp noobs in your regular server, where people greeted you like a regular at the local pub.
Valve's final actions were to change TF2 into a lobotomized automated soulless matchmaking machine, and that's when they left it.

TF2 is proof that nothing short of nuclear annihilation can actually kill TF2.

>Overwatch tried and failed
>Splatoon failed
>PubG failed
>fortnite failed
>even Valve failed to kill TF2 with their laziness

They're madmen.

TF2 is on permanent ubercharge

>dead game
no shit

Dead game? TF2 is the most popular game they have and it's not even close.

When was the last time you saw a thread about CSGO or Dota 2? I'm guessing it was a lot longer ago than you last saw a TF2 thread.

55000 is still not bad though

The problem with TF2 isn't that Valve dislikes TF2; it's built on 12 straight years of janky "this will work for now" code that breaks horribly every time they try to change anything, so even the devs that like TF2 don't want to touch it. The only thing that could really make it worth working on again is a Source 2 remake/rewrite update that cleans all the garbage code the fuck up.

I miss the early 2010s...

Anyone with common sense moved on to Overwatch.

lol that is some grade-A delusion right there

There's no way the numbers are that low. Not when Overwatch is estimated to have around 700k players on average and TF2 is way more popular than that is.

I refuse to believe that TF2's all-time peak is way lower than Overwatch's average. That can't be right.

TF2 has been supposedly "dead" every single day for the past 10 years, and it'll keep being dead every time a new shooter comes out to challenge it.

>Overwatch is estimated to have around 700k players on average and TF2 is way more popular than that is.
>estimated
By who, user?

How? All of those games except for Fortnite(which is dying) died long ago while TF2 thrives to this day.

What does PUBG and Fortnite have to do with TF2 you fag? PUBG was a flash in the pan and decided to kill itself with console release and retarded development decisions. Fortnite is very successful even if it is a shit game and propelled Epic into becoming as big as they are right now.

its not hard to look up user

>being on life support means it's not dead
>if it has 60k players (with 40k of them being bots) it means it's not dead
lol

playercounter.com/overwatch/

It's not 100% accurate but it's the closest estimation we've got. It's a lot lower than before because Blizzard used to brag about it having millions of concurrent players.

No, it is the children who are wrong.

>Overwatch is estimated to have around 700k
They must have a sick sense of humor, when literally everyone complains of 10+ minute Ranked Queues

>(with 40k of them being bots)
Fuck off Tyler McNigger. This retard shit was proven wrong months ago.

You can find a match instantly via the server browser. Meanwhile it takes like ten minutes to find a match in Overwatch if you're a DPS character.

>Overwatch has 700k players at all times
>dead
>TF2 has about 60k players on a good day
>still alive
If we could use coping as a power source, a single hatcuck could power a small village for a year

DPS players do. I'm not sure why but it does seem to be a lot quicker if you're a tank or healer.

Either way it's not a good sign for the game's popularity.

>700k players
>takes ten minutes to find a match

60k players
>can find a match instantly even at 3 in the morning

>Estimated ~14k players currently playing Brawlhalla
This website is bullshit, user.

Where are your arguments?

How would you know if you don't play OW? lol
A tank or a healer can find a game in less than a minute lol just don't be a DPS pleb

Fortnite just hit 14 million concurrent players yet people here will unironically say TF2 is more popular than it. TF2 will probably last longer than it though.

Well there's your problem. We live in a produce-for-exchange/profit/trade society user, not a produce-for-use.

>A tank or a healer can find a game in less than a minute lol just don't be a DPS pleb

You shouldn't have to be a tank or healer to get a fast queue. If the game was popular enough then you'd get in instantly regardless.

Minecraft killed tf2
