this and rain world made me feel things.
what was your favorite part of this game?
for me it was the quantum moon and how eerie it was to be on it.

finally understanding the mystery in the high energy lab, reading the I wonder if we could create a window of 22 minutes and then the realization that the sun station didn't work and being caught in this loop is just a stroke of luck and the Nomai never got to see the ash twin project work themselves, worst part seeing the supernova from the vessel in the eye and realzing there was no way to save everyone
do i understand this right?
you can still see the supernova go off while you are at the eye but still inside the vessel?
yes
just bought this, what am I in for?
a good time if you avoid spoilers.
expect a lot of exploration and information gathering.
it's more about finding and witnessing things happen in this game.
don't look anything up and try to avoid any spoiler on Zig Forums.
I've been avoiding spoilers. I gather it's a time-warped space exploration mystery game right? Sounds kino.
Basically just an exploration / puzzle solving game.
I HATE BRITTLE HOLLOW
>looking down at the black hole everytime you get into one of those transporter
falling down is the most terrifying shit.
>tfw they casually explain to you later at the white hole station, that everyone was falling down at least once and it's totally normal.
I enjoyed the game but thought the progression was flawed. Got stuck at the ash twin project and eventually gave up and looked up a guide.
Someone didn't read enough of the hints
I have to say, even though the game isn't trying to be scary, it definitely does space right, few things make me feel more uncomfortable than just looking into a black hole in the game, when I first saw the white hole I EVA'd to go and explore the space station nearby and I lost sight of the white hole and I couldn't tell which direction it was in and I was frantically trying to adjust myself terrified I was going to get sucked in. I've never felt that sort of terror in a game from an environment before.
not him, but there was some places that i couldn't reach and had to, admittedly, look them up.
like, how to reach the top of the tower in brittle hollow or how to access the sun station.
i mean, i guess i wasn't clever enough to figure that out by myself? i felt kinda bad afterwards.
Fuck anglerfish
>starts playing IRL
wat do
This was the one spot i got stuck, too. I had the right idea, but the wrong execution, so I thought it wasnt right. Unrelated, I thought pic related was a little suspicious, and I hope it isnt what I think it is
Still can't believe I had to plug in a controller just to get past them
youtu.be
I still don't understand how to get to quantum moon
I thought it was fine, I basically progressed every rumor fully before I worked out how to get to the real center of each, I quickly found out about ashtwin and accidentally warped to giants deep and that sent me off to try the other rooms to see if I could do the same but I couldn't get one two to work as one was blocked by cacti and the other I assumed was broken, so I explored elsewhere built up the other rumors and found the vessel, noticed the warp core missing and left knewing I could use ash twins custom core on it if I could get access, then I tried for the quantum moon which took me ages but I eventually manged it with the camera on the front of the ship, watching me descend in wearing just my suit which I realised you don't have to do later... after fully exploring the moon and it's 6th location I went back to ashtwin and though, this warp core must work and left a probe on it and sat in the hole so I didn't get pulled up by the sand, then when the sand came over I heard it activate and jumped in, finally having made it to the centre, I opened the core and then knew what I had to do... glad I didn't work out how to get in right until the end
have you been alluded to the 3 laws of quantum objects? if not, work more towards that
Have you found all the quantum rules? Have you solved the training tower in Giant's Deep?
you already know too much
close this thread and come back when you've beaten it
No joke I flew to the Sun Station and only realized about the portals there. Holy fuck was that hard
fug I've no idea what any of those are. I feel like I've seen most of Brittle Hollow but none of it seems relevant other than that spaceship you can call back. Although now that you mention it I haven't found how to get into the tower of knowledge
I gotta say, the southern observatory was real cool when you find those tornado models, I still gotta go try and find one to go below the surface, guess I'll try that next
well, at least you got an achievement for that.
good work
>Outer Wilds is best enjoyed with a controller
What? No it isn't. Why do they have this disclaimer at start? Does anyone use controller for this game?
meant for
Only after I beat the game did I realize that the towers on ashtwin are ordered by their position in the solar system, I know in the high energy lab it said they look like what they warp too, but that didn't help for some of them, made it so much easier
>only Brittle Hollow
Wew you got a lot left
Pretty sure you can't actually go deep in Bramble without the slow thrust
There are certain parts of the game where a controller is convenient. Mostly when precision flying might be nice.
i do, i cannot imagine doing no gravity controls with a keyboard. also dark bramble minimal thrust, is it even doable with keyboard?
Make a bee line for Dark Bramble and cruise around inside it at high speeds.
I do because I didn't know if it was 1st or 3rd, but I just sticked with it. Don't enjoy 1st person with controller at all but this require any fast movements I guess so it's enjoyable. and I can just sink back into my chair and be comfy
Just finished Quern, kinda filled the void a bit. Any other recommendations?
Just gun it into a seed then drift as it transitions for no aggro
>people had problems with the anglerfish
Me too. The devs themselves admitted it wasn't obvious enough. I mean looking at ember twin to teleport to the core of ash twin doesn't make sense
>tfw the end of the game did nothing but trigger an existential crisis thinking about the end of everything and wrestling with my own mortality
send help
>what was your favorite part of this game?
Exploring the hanging city in Brittle Hollow
Least favorite was probably getting crushed to death under ember twin, mainly because that shit was genuinely horrific, especial with the sound effect for getting crushed
what? they literally explained that the black and white hole had to line up with each other to work.
>looking at ember twin
You don't have to look up. Also it's mentioned somewhere that Ash Twins work as a one celestial body with one center of mass. Teleporters work when the center of mass is above the teleport pad.
