Did you like RE7
And are you excited for 8?
Did you like RE7
Yes I'm a Ethanchad and yes I can't wait for RE8
The man the legend the Ethanchad!
I'm not a huge fan of FP perspective, but I think RE7 had a lot of good ideas and execution. I wish RE8 was going to be the Evil Dead 2 to RE7's OG Evil Dead instead of the Evil Dead Reboot in tone. I'm not saying it needs to be super campy, but they're clearly aiming for it to be more gruesome and dark. I'll be happy if those ambassador demo leaks are true and Ethan is going to become more like Ash at least. I think his character has potential, but there really wasn't a ton in RE7.
Personally I’m happy RE is sticking to horror
The one thing I dreaded was RE going back to its RE6 ways
Hell yeah...RE7 is one of the most comfy Fun experientes i have in this generation and RE8 looks like a bigger and better RE7.They fixing Chris face and showing more than one kind of enemy already talk wonders about they listening to fans.I cant wait.
yes
yes
Can I have a quick rundown on this Ethan fellow?
I kept asking myself how does that family own a property that big
Zoomer shill shit game.
Devs are mentally handicapped.
RE died after RE4
Nah
Your just an old faggot
Yes and yes.
The two major complaints I have about RE7 are that there's too many scripted events and the second half is underwhelming. If RE8 can fix those two things it'll be a masterpiece. I already like what they've shown, environments are cool and I love the RE4-esque inventory.
Not particularly. I went through it on Normal and then on Madhouse because I wanted to give it a chance, but it never really felt like I was playing a Resident Evil game. I much prefer the classics to this, but I also preferred the 2 and 3 remakes. I think it's because I love the original characters so much.
RE4 is a great game on its own merits but RE7 was much closer to the franchise's roots. Sure it was full of scripted events but so is RE4.
I remember playing the RE7 demo and hating it. It was just a spooky house crawl and the only enemy wasn't able to realistically be fought unless you're some sort of melee god or found all the pistol ammo. Put me off on playing 7 until this year, but I was pleasantly surprised that it played more like a mainline title.
I felt that the first person perspective somehow made things less gruesome because you often don't see the damage inflicted to you in great detail and in fact most of my deaths were just of the "falling over" variety.
You can still have campy moment without going full re6. the series has always had lighter moments and I'm afraid those will be completely missing from 8
The demo did not do a good job of representing the game
The demo was so slow and stone dead serious while 7s main game was full of camp and fun and intense moments
Based Ethanbro
I think they were supposed to be like 4th or 5th generation family whose ancestors had owned it for a very long time.
I liked 7 a lot, but the caveat there is I don't usually like Resident Evil games. Not out of dislike for the gameplay, but I find it very hard to get immersed in them because the plot and cast are usually so dumb while at the same time takes itself really seriously. 7 is great in that regard since it basically dumps all the baggage from the rest of the series and instead is all about Ethan looking for his wife while trying to survive in an ad-libbed Texas Chainsaw massacre.
The problem with it is when it deviates from this and brings back usual RE stuff into the plot and just becomes silly. Jack stalking you with a shovel? Fun. Jack morphing into a giant man-slug and you have to take him down with a grenade launcher? Fuck that.
Looking at 8 I'm excited for it since the gameplay could be an evolution of 7, but I'm concerned its plot is going to double down on some new totally-not-umbrella corp, a ridiculously evil antagonist who tries to sell Zombie virus as a weapon or something equally dumb, or just bringing back a bunch of old RE character for fanservice despite clashing with the tone of the game.
Texas chad with little training winning over BOW

Why?
The Connections probably IS Umbrella Europe and various members that retreived the assets before the US restructuring could account for those, and it makes sense. Europe tested BOW, T and C Viruses and probably parasites, and the ship with Eve was probably coming from Europe. Makes sense
He's a Silent Hill protag in RE meaning SHfags have invaded the RE fanbase and we don't like them
Case in fucking point
Didn’t reeaallly like RE7. Absolutely fucking hate the “invincible bad guy constantly chasing you!!! so scary!!” mechanic. It took away so much from RE2, RE3 and RE7. It isn’t fun in the slightest. Amnesia is a fucking cancer to gaming.
I might have hated it if 1, Jack didn't go away when you get out of the house, and 2, if Jack wasn't such a fun character. Having this raving lunatic chase you down while yelling at the top of his lungs is just so fun
Why does Ethan have such shit taste in women?
I hated it.
No.
Currently playing it, yesterday I managed to reach the ship and was spooked as hell, barely slept. Great fucking game I like the tone, Ethan, the pacing, graphics and the action. Only problem I saw was the camera, even at 90FOV it seems to close and I don't like how whenever you focus on an object the surrounding light from the flashlight dims. It's just a cheap trick to keep you on edge.
Excited as fuck for 8.
We already stabilished that Mia probably have the best pussy/tongue combo ever to make up for It...a Guy dont drive from Los Angeles to Lousiana, lose a arm and a a leg and face all that shit If the reward isnt really good.
Also Mia on her prime was the cutest.
YES and YES
>RE died after RE4
Nah you just don't enjoy games anymore.
