you can get mp haste as an ability.
alternatively, use magic until you have a sliver of mp left, then heal. the heal is the same no matter how much mp is left

3RM has easily my most hated fight with Saix. Learning his fight was an absolute fucking slog when he went into unga bunga mode. While I do like a lot of the 3RM fights, they really need to tone down the cutscene length in those fights or make them skippable.

Use potions. Cure is literally the least efficient use of MP in the game. Using a limit as you are about to die is 100% better than using cure. Also what said. You can do literally anything with 1 MP, but ethers will only fully recover MP if you still have some left.
