When the fuck is the 30XX line coming out?
Why do we still not have a solid release window?
When the fuck is the 30XX line coming out?
because corona "postponed" aka fuckers had an excuse to be lazy retards
But I only have a 970
I've been waiting for a significant upgrade specifically because I don't do that
Quit being such a faggot.
Your pic perfectly describes everyone who bought a rtx card. The rest of use stuck with gtx since we knew 2000 series were just going to be a beta test for the much improved 3000 cards.
wtf are you talking about retard
If you bought a 2000 series rtx card, you're a retard.
Are you a retard?
I still have 1080 ti
How is getting 3000 less retarded than 2000
Jewvidia supposedly fixed gay tracing tanking FPS on 3000 cards.
If leaks are to be believed, 3000 is going to be what 2000 should've been. i.e. and actual product worth the price.
>thinking jewvidia won't raise the price again
oy lmoa
So 3000 is exactly the same as 2000 yet costs the same or more.
Thats the most retarded consoomer shit ive ever heard
Who gives a fuck about gay racing
>still have a GTX780 (not Ti)
>and only got it because a retard relative managed to fry my 680 6 years ago
What's the next reasonable milestone to wait for?
august/september appearently
Launches on September 17th. Announcement is always exactly one month prior, so should be August 17th. They only launch with high-end cards though, so no 3070 or 3060 just yet. Expect to see: RTX Titan, RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3080.
A midrange card will drop before CP2077 comes out, Nvidia isn't stupid.
Sure, they can raise the price even more. Then people move to amd. Their leaks are looking pretty good too, if they're to be believed of course.
>So 3000 is exactly the same as 2000
That's not what I said. Right now rtx cards are a massive scam since the gimmick they sell themselves on doesn't even work. The 3000 cards will supposedly fix that.
>Who gives a fuck about gay racing
You will once more devs start using it.
>You will once more devs start using it.
Gay racing is just going to be a feature on movie games, another consoomer genre, not interested
>Gay racing is just going to be a feature on movie games
How do you figure that? There's no reason all types of games can't use ray tracing.
2xxx series was just a slightly better 1080ti with RTX beta test. 3xxx is an entirely new architecture. Even without the lametracing it does seem like it'll have some interesting features like some of the AI shit. It'll probably end up being THE 4k card. But if you're at 1080p I dunno why you'd upgrade to it.
same
ampere would be my next milestone probably but I think my 16gb ddr3 and 4770k quad core will bottleneck it
That's the way you should plan your upgrades though, get something that maxes out your current system. Then when another sandy bridge drops, hop over and carry the GPU forward
Literally everyone has reported that prices will be cheaper and that all the factors that led to the high prices in the first place don't exist anymore.
I mean, what do you play
Fermi cards run like liquid shit now because nvidia completely cut off optimizations for them years ago. Even new budget cards will run rings around a 780ti now.
I spent my 2k budget ive had sitting since early march on some other shit like a new guitar and a bicycle because im fucking bored of waiting...
I figure they wont release till october and i'll have another 1500-2000 saved by then anyway, ill just actually go outside and do some bike riding to keep me occupied.
because the 3000 cards are not needed at all. the 20xx line will still last 10+ years and the 10xx line will last for another 3-5 years
>Literally everyone has reported that prices will be cheaper and that all the factors that led to the high prices in the first place don't exist anymore.
Hard to believe. It's not like the 2000 cards were a financial disaster for Nvidia. As long as there are people who devotes themselves to 'team green' and pleb 'gamers' who wants Nvidia cards because their favourite streamer is using one, corporation going to do corporation things.
3000 series might be good for high frame rate non 4k gaming, id imagine it would be good for 240hz/144hz/120hz in 1080p//1200p/1440p in almost everything.
>thinking 2000 and 3000 cards will exist in the market at the same time
Actually, nvidia is just dumb/greedy enough to do that.
I built a 9900k system last year with the expectation a 3080/3080ti would be out and on shelves by may, then corona hit. Been sat on 2k waiting and got bored, bought another guitar and a nice bike, i cant imagine anythings hitting shelves till around cyberpunks launch, which is why i think it was pushed for stable RTX and DLSS 2.0 functionality.
I think the cards will be out just before Cyberpunk is release, so probably Oct.
Recent new technology has went towards movie games, why do u think they showed UE5 in a movie walk forward setting, that's their goal
Okay but why can't that new tech just be used for non movie games?
>why do u think they showed UE5 in a movie walk forward setting
Because it was a tech demo and not an actual game?
I have a 1080 in my 9900k system and its honestly not good enough to max settings in a lot of VR titles (index 2880×1600@90hz-144hz)it might be OK if indie VR shit was better optimised.
A 1080 was fine with an OG HTC Vive and a 6700 series processor, but a lots happened in the VR space since the og oculus/ vive release, with titles getting VR support like racing sims, space sims, and the processor and gpu were on the threshold for running a valve index well... upgraded to a 9900k and waited on 3000 cards as 2080ti was poor value for money imo.
