Well, I was always a loser but not a nerd, so obviously I prefered Archers all my life until I had a girlfriend. Then I started to see myself as someone that was more than capable of supporting the whole group, so I went Cleric because even if I had pussy I was still a cuck. Years later I had another girlfriend who was kinda obsessed about me but in a healthy way, and gave me the impression that she would do anything I asked her to do. Had amazing tits, perfect. I was the one cheating on her now, and my confidence was boosted so I started to dig into Fighters some more. I broke up with her, seeing the probability of having sex with other women was higher than ever before, but then I lost my job and it's been more than a year since the last time I touched a woman.
Last time I played an mmorpg I went right into Archer again.
My favorite class is always mage because casting spells is badass. Sadly most games fuck it up and it isn't as viable as a yolo warrior on the hardest setting. Dragon Age Inquisition is a good example. You can beat it on nightmare as a mage, but fights take forever. Switch to warrior and you can yolo roll and kill everything instantly.
Monk/Fighter. Especially the trope of a super small, cute girl who does impossible damage with her fists.
Brawler. I just want to punch shit.
No Monks though. Fuck that bald hippie Buddhism shit.
Default warrior with default appearance in any game focused on combat.
Default wizard/mage in any game with a focus on skills or inventory management (since they have more options early game).
Archers and rogues can get fucked.

Archer or Gunslinger if the series is cool enough to either have Magitek guns or early-era flintlocks and blunderbusses.

Prefebly one that can essentially summon AI companions that are other classes.
Like tank demons, mage imps, assassin succubi etc.
Not really in a single player game. It's only stupid in multiplayer games that revolve around the trinity system. And since the trinity system itself is shit, all the more reason to get away from it. In most Diablo style games, all characters have some kind of healing and focus on DPS. So they're all essentially healing DPS.

Do you prefer them to be "monsters" with their own AI and you can just vaguely give directives (aggressive, defensive, passive, etc.) or full on RTS control, choose who to attack and what skills to use?
