honestly it's probably my game of the year, so far. The writing feels sharper than the first one and the only blemishes are the shit fps and long load times.
have not crashed yet but I'm expecting it at some point as even with frequent breaks to stop memory leakage it's gonna fuckup somehow, I hope the patch they are working on doesn't fuck up the game even more somehow

After reloading performance significantly improved for the skateboarding minigame so I would try saving in the bowling room then restarting the entire application. Might improve performance and make it easier to time. Probably won't help much but you need everything you can get for the stupid last split.

Same. My only complaint (and this is IMO) is that they're really leaning hard on York. Sure, in DP1 he was very eccentric, but he was also focused. When meeting new people he was mainly concerned with the case and mused with Zach afterwards to himself. In 2 he's basically monologing at every person he meets and straight up having conversations with Zach in the middle of conversations with other people.
Same with the movies thing, it feels like they cranked it up to 200% here. Every second line is him dropping a movie reference, whereas in DP1 he only talked about them when driving around with Zach or when someone else brought them up (Emily) or something reminded him of them. It felt very natural.
I still love his characterization and it's fantastic to spend more time with York, but it's the only part of the game where I think they let the critical response of the first game affect the writing

I wish I was. The game continuously softlocks on me. And the Pastor keeps swapping between his church and doctor outfits. I can't take a single step without the whole game breaking.

Try saving, quitting out of the game and then restarting it.
If it runs for too long the memory leak fucks the game up

Loving the game so far. The Zach parts are great. It is interesting to see a younger York working through a case to, you can feel he is less experienced than his self in the first case. I like it.

It might be because this is a younger York who just isn't as experienced dealing with those things as York prime.

I doubt York even thinks about sex at all. He has Zach sharing a body with him too and that has to be awkward.
