Guys, what the hell is this fight?

Queelag and the Iron Golem were easy, then suddenly this.
There's no room to attack back, and when there is i'm lucky to get two hits before i get hit or they jump back. Can't stagger then since i would need to land 4-5 hits.

Is there some obvious thing i'm missing here?

Summon solaire for help and focus one while the other is busy.

>Is there some obvious thing i'm missing here?
Yeah, skill.

For instance?

try dodging

when in doubt, O and get out

I do dodge, the problem is that then i have no room to attack, it ends up being an attrition battle that i always lose

avoid their hits and hit them
also don't use lock-on, I never use it in DaS 1

Don't hit them more than the window allows. If you can only get two hits then why go for a third?

isn't it funny how difficult souls was on your first playthrough? Looking back on O&S I can barely even remember them being a challenge unless I'm doing some kind of meme run

dark souls 1 is piss easy compared to dark souls 2 where this kind of boss was a common thing
this is literally the only medium difficulty fight in the game, literally just take off armor to light roll and get one hit in then roll out, easy as shit game

I've been trying, but it seems to be a choice: Either i avoid their hids, or i hit them.
Because i can't get two hits consistently either.
Will try it

You have two options:
1. The bitch move, summon Solaire for a 2 v 2.
2. Learn how to fight multiple enemies, try to keep them both in your line of sight at the same time and use the architecture to your advantage. You are gonna have to learn this for Dark Souls 2 anyways.

>raw Uchi
there's your problem

> Dex fag getting filtered.
LMAO

>Because i can't get two hits consistently either.
then go for one hit until you find other openings to take advantage of

Spacing is key. Just like in PvP

Wrong controller

>If i don't look for guides and end up commiting mistakes then i'm a dumbass for commiting mistakes
>If i look for guides so i don't dommit mistakes, then i'm a dumbass for ruining my experience.
I mean, it said that the damage number would go higher, i shouldn't have done it?I've put most of my points in vitality and endurance

>>If i look for guides so i don't dommit mistakes, then i'm a dumbass for ruining my experience.
who are you quoting? i probably watched 100 hours of streams before playing it myself and it was the best decision ever.
also if you go raw on your first playthrough, you have brain damage.

raw uchigatana is garbaga, raw anything is garbage 95% of the time in DS1

nothing to do with guides you are just a moron that cant read stat sheet

I think i may have special needs but i needed to summon in both the gorgoyles and the queelag fight after 10 to 15 fruitless efforts but i beat ornstein and smough first try by poising the fuck out of ornstein and killing him in like 20 seconds. after tthat just dodge the fat guy and hit whenever it is safe. was i just lucky and used the right strategy here or was i overleveled ? Never intentionally grinded

You did good by going in blind, people would shit on your build no matter what you have.

Don't listen to others, reading stat sheets before even playing the game is raw autism. That said, if you have a problem with the bosses watch the no roll fights, you can usually see all the boss patterns there.

>There's no room to attack back
Yes there is, you just need to get used to their speed. Fight them slowly and hit them only when you're sure you can get away without trading blows, it'll take time but you'll get there. Don't rush it, and don't get greedy.

Just git gud
And by git gud I mean hug the pillars and spread the bosses apart because Miyazaki doesn't know how to make good multi-enemy boss fights

I'm assuming that remaining 5% is the raw greataxe and my raw cock in your mum lol.

>game says smaller number becomes bigger number
>it doesn't mean what it says

>weeb struggling with O&S
Expected

Use the pillars to get some breathing room and keep whichever one you're not focusing on away from the other.
Only focus on Ornsteins attack pattern, it's specifically designed to punish panic rolling so you need to be aware that his attacks are staggered slightly
Smough has such a massive telegraph that you'll always know when he's winding up an attack, so you can just keep your eye on him and that should be enough
Finally, only attack when you can, don't overextend or they'll both punish you and you'll likely die

If you're really suffering just summon Solaire, he's on the opposite staircase to the one you come into the hall on.

Summon Solaire.
