Astral Chain had a spirit event in January. Spirits might not deconfirm but Spirits from events that happened well after the contents of Fighter Pass 2 where decided on (last 2019) then yah they aren't happening

I don't really see it with Rex, given how blades don't really fight in their own game it feels like Rex would be closer to a meter fighter. Except the meter is something you can attack directly and if you KO them he loses his B button.

Maybe a meter that activates Pyra and/or Mythra and it just buffs or changes you attacks depending on which one it does? Idk either way Rex as a fighter would be super weird. Kind of want to see him in to see what they do

not an argument, they literally gave sakurai a dev build of fire emblem to shoehorn marth #8
to this day still no one knows any fire emblem characters besides marth and maybe roy

That'd work pretty well combined with using her for specials. Doing/taking damage builds up power and Pyra shifts to Mythra and Rex gets a big buff in stats. But unlike say, Joker it's not an on/off switch and rather a gradual thing. Attacking his blade could even cost him gauge.
Instead of Rex we should get Zeke.
