Just beat the game. Didn't 100% but i did all of the relevant and important stuff.
I can see how someone who only ever played Nintendo games or is a Nintendo fanboy would think its the best shit ever.
But honestly the game is just ok. It has way to many flaws to be a truly best game ever.
On top of also gating all the acualy challenging and fun content behind the DLC.
I unironically enjoyed all the previous 3d zeldas more even Skyward Sword.
As it stands its the game is just a ok open world game whit baby's first physics puzzles.
Just beat the game. Didn't 100% but i did all of the relevant and important stuff
agreed. it's basically wind waker 2.0. tons of potential, never lives up to it. having said that, I am looking forward to the sequel addressing its many problems.
Idort here, BotW is one of the best open world game available right now. It has a lot of flaws but if botw 2 fix them then it will the GOAT open world game
Hope they make the powers relevant in the sequel outside of puzzle solving and killing trash mobs in the early game.
Cryonis was especially useless they might as well have made the Ice arrows or Ice rod do the same thing.
I agree, I liked the game a lot but there was lot of empty space that was filled with korok seed puzzles of which 99% had the same solution, that and there were only a few memorable shrines. Personally I think that if they condensed the shrines to like 6-8 large and challenging dungeons along with good side quests it could've easily been better imo.
I couldn't shake the feeling that I could be playing something more fun every time I tried to get into it
I unironically had more fun playing Horizon, Ass Creed Odyssey, and Watchdogs 2 when it comes to Open world games.
Hell even Witcher 3 gad more interesting world to explore even if it didn't have combat as good.
Every game ever made is just okay
for now
How are you gonna climb a waterfall with ice arrows? I'd rather save those for combat situations, that shit ain't free.
game is enjoyable but i burnt myself out on my 2nd try by getting mastersword before the first divine beast. fuck breakable weapons
TW3 has better combat, imo. But that's just because the combat in BOTW is soul numbing, especially on Master Mode. TW3, on the other hand, had sidequests that actually felt meaningful.
uhhh if they did the same thing then that's how you would fucking retard
also imagine not climbing waterfalls w/ the waifu armor lmao@zoralet
I thought it was pretty okay. I can see the flaws and how they can fix them in the sequel, but I thought that it was great experience and I'm certain that the game will be remembered fondly.
I don't think ice arrows making magic climbable columns of ice would make much sense, but I suppose it could work. Traditionally they just make platforms.
shit taste son
i don't think making a stationary ice column on a moving body of water makes sense either bro
9/10 game best open world game bar none Nintendo revolutionized sand box games that western developers failed to do. just give us longer more traditional dungeons and you have a 10/10 perfect game
It makes more sense if ancient magitech is involved.
That's something that kinda bugged me about BOTW. The elemental arrows are clearly magical, but where did they come from?
I’d rather have 3D Zelda be mainly about exploration than scripted puzzle solving ala OoT. Been wanting a Zelda like this since forever. t. have beat every single Zelda game, BotW is my favorite, followed by TLoZ and Wind Waker (see a pattern?)
>Witcher 3 gad more interesting world
witchers world sucked ass its the same copy paste forest and eastern european landscape.
BOTW had various landscapes climates each with a temperature system that effected game play
This is why I can't play it for a second time. I beat it. I TRIED to start a second playthrough, but once you know what the game has to offer, you just don't care because there just isn't much to do that's actually compelling except exploration, and you already explored it on your first playthrough, so the game is basically a borefest now. I hope they fix this in the sequel because holy shit.
It also had NPCs that had more than two boxes of dialogue.
>It also had NPCs
and your point Witcher is a RPG game
Not only is the game next to flawless, it's the best video game ever made. Kill yourself Snoy roach.
It takes a special kind of shitposter to actually type this shit and press enter.
How would you feel if BotW 2 reintroduced tool based progression and sacrificed shrines for beefier dungeons?
I wish they could reach a happy medium, open world exploration but also with fun challenges in the form of puzzle based dungeons. Essentially just do ALBW but in 3D (and with some changes) and it would be great
I liked the challenges in BotW even if shrines were not the ideal format. Koroks were fun too.
You might have a point if there was actually something worth exploring in that tedious shitshow of a game.
Who in their right minds would say something like this? Read your posts out loud before posting, user. That kind of hyperbole just makes you sound dumb, I'm sorry to say.
