unironically everything

Danketsu

Pretty much everything. Only complaint is that it's a bit short.

How's the remake on switch?

Because you Funky Da

Runs fine, kind of wish they would port the other games over since the first is too short.
We love Katamari was probably my favorite.

I hear motion controls are utter crap

not the PC port

they should have just kept it at 30fps

How does it compare to the original game with pcsx2?

Who the hell would play it with motion controls? Pro controller all the way

Why don’t they shit out sequels? It’s such a good series to be honest and it’s very fun. I don’t know what’s the hold up

it has widescreen

but they limit the camera and certain animations to 30fps. while the game runs at 60fps

IMO you're better off emulating

The author hated the idea of making sequels for it. It was back when devs had passion and wanted to make new amazing things rather than milk incels to make a line go up.

Yeah but everything else he made was bad.

redpill me on this game, Zig Forums.
Saw it a lot but never got any kind of interest to play it.

Absolute god tier soundtrack

I played katamari on the 360. what was the title? game was 10/10 kino fucking amazing.Gameplay amazing, the music, the graphics, the concept.

I hope they make a new one for next gen

Then he let them make a mobile game of it that's a trash cash grab. No one even remembers the other games he tried to make. Guy could be pumping out a new katamari every few years and the fans would love him.

good music, silly stroy (your dad got drunk and blew up all the stars) so you have to go to earth and roll crap up to make new stars. It's a simple game but once you have it down you start to see how well you can beat your size scores in the allotted time

Beautiful Katamari.
The one where the King rips open a black hole by serving too hard in a tennis game against his wife.

You roll a ball to make it bigger and that's it

Beautiful Katamari

Wouldn't get my hopes up for more.
At this point, half the series is dead mobile games.
The last full title was Touch My Katamari. On Vita.

kek bro I legit was obsessed with this game. Im usually completely different more serious games, I pirated this game knowing nothing about it other than its some weird jap cartoony casual game and played the fucking shit out of it. amazing game. Would recomend to anyone any day

Noby Noby Boy was goofy fun.

Funny excuse plot, somewhat wonky controls (excusable for it being the first game), cheesy Jpop soundtrack, and fucking fun gameplay

How did they do it bros.
How did they create literally the greatest soundtrack in vidya history?

Noby Noby Boy and Wattam are good
I'm getting a Playdate specifically for his silly robot game

>Then he let them make a mobile game of it that's a trash cash grab.
There's a lot more than one.
>Guy could be pumping out a new katamari every few years and the fans would love him.
Keita doesn't make games for the money or fame.

Fun, neat aesthetic, really good music. It also doesn't outstay its welcome either.

the best things are created generally when the creators dont give a single fuck

Is the Vita game a good way to get into the series?

I've heard it's alright.

I don't think any of the games are bad.
The Vita game has a unique gimmick where you stretch the Katamari, something that definitely isn't in the other games.

It's not about the money or fame, it's about what fans want. We'd all kill for a new title in the series.

I see it talked about pretty negatively here but playing it recently after playing Rereoll it's honestly still a solid game.

this shit has to be on the ps5, would be a system seller

The Vita game has the same artstyle and the gameplay is just fun no matter what, but it definitely lacks soul

Well it's really not up to Keita anymore. The last Katamari he worked on was We Love.

It's good, but simultaneously shit. The fact that the analog sticks aren't symmetrical REALLY makes it irritating to play. Looks pretty tho

very much agreed with this, but playing it on the pro controller alleviates this a bit
didnt realise how important having the sticks in the same place was until they werent

Gameplay was the most important aspect above everything else and it shows. It's almost like finding a fun concept and then just running with it is a better idea than taking another element and trying to make fun out of it
