Imagine him and Shepard seperately hunting Saren i the game, and you eventually being forced to interfer with Nihlus spectre affairs, even possibly killing him.

It's like in Dragon Age. Grey Warden/Spectres are hyped to be the ultimate law forms and nobody gives a fuck. They couldn't properly implement such a title. Imagine how different the game actually were if your character shows up and everybody goes out of their way to help and please you. Or the laughable title of Inquisitor in 3. There was no meaning to that title. No burnings, no torture or political ploys. Wastes potential.
