Disprove homebrew model swaps, sure.

It’s been nearly half a year with no confirmation.
It’s implausible at best right now

stop shilling your "leak"

>No! You can't import high quality models because of muh file size limits! It's not like 3D can be optimized and given bump maps!

That Steve and Mii outfits are two different things. Mii outfits use some voodoo compression which if not used properly make things look like shit.

I've never understood if this was trying to disprove or legitimize the supposed leaker reveal

Disprove

yeah me either, if the faker wanted to announce they faked it why just this one image of the laughing face, why not give us another video clip proving it was faked at this point.

What’s more likely? That another user who also remained anonymous also faked a mii hat and imported it and took a picture that looks exactly like the one in the original leak? Or that they’re the same fucking person? Come on.

characters have the same model type and compression type as mii costume models
they are also all compressed the same way
the compression limit is only limited to the original files size
some models, such as the maid mii costume, have high poly and low poly versions contained in the same file.
a leaker doesn't need to release their mod, so performance issues of not having seperate high poly and low poly models in could be avoided entirely by labelling the high poly model as the low poly model and vice versa for singleplayer.
for the purposes of a fake leak, they could have exported the mod only to work for free for alls. this would effectively give them a much higher poly count to work with.
additionally, miis are the only character that automatically render their models for ingame portraits, which would remove the hassle of making a realistic render and also making realistic looking animation imports for a character.

You're entirely correct which is why people won't listen to you.

Don't forget there's the fact the footage only shows hats, no new Mii costume body parts. Which is suspicious just in itself.

Your mom's disproven

Neither have all those pictures of playable Sonic and Toad in Melee from 20 years ago.

in addition, the highest quality mii hat in the game is hat_monk_f, which has 17,000 polygons for highpoly model, and 13,000 for the low poly
the leaker had 30,000 polys to use for free on a hair model which already had jiggle bones.
additionally the toad mii costume body only has one version used for male and female miis. that might be a girl mii with a male hair.
the viridi hat is similar with 20,000 total polygons to use. additionally, the viridi hat doesnt change based on mii gender.

tl;dr: the mallow mii might be a tomboy because the female mii has a hat with 30k polygons to use + hair bones which could be used for jiggle physics.

Can anyone else who mods the game verify this?

So you could just put the hat on the model?

You do know how hard it is to recreate something 1:1 right?

hahahahaha

He's right, Studio lets you see the vertex count and many Smash models have high and low versions of object groups.

It means Geno and Doomguy are in, bros

Is that alt actually in the game or is that just a mod?

mod

I think it's intended to disprove, but the person who made the image was too stupid to realize that the person who made the recreation on the right wasn't claiming to be the original leaker.

That means they got the model somewhere?..

dang...

They didn't need to claim that because it's blatantly the same fucking model. "Recreation", fuck off, it's much less likely he recreated it so exactly than it is he just posted the original

I feel like if he made the original he'd have been able to get it to fit on the second mii's head properly instead of leaving those jagged edges near the top.

that's mii hair lol

That's my point, the only differences are in how the model is adapted into a Mii costume. The incredibly minor discrepancies are just there because a different person made the one on the left and the one on the right.

Mii hair disappears if you put on a hat like that

>Not disproven
>Information is 3 years old
>There is ZERO fucking reason to withhold these models if they're obviously finished enough to be "leaked"
>Literally just created to make people seethe or to say "Doomguy is in!"

Christ Smashtards are mentally ill.
