>Over the years, a sizable gap has emerged between players, which has unfortunately created a restrictive gameplay environment. We believe that continuing service of the game in its current form would not satisfy the players and perpetuate the current issues, so the difficult decision has been made to conclude service for CosmicBreak on August 27th, 2020. >CosmicBreak Universal is a remastered international service made for the Steam platform that keeps the core elements of what made the original CosmicBreak unique intact, while incorporating a slew of changes that could not be implemented in the original title. Not only is this an improved version, but it will also be more widely available to players around the world. For those who might not have been around, about 10 years ago this game was Zig Forums's collective flavor-of-the-year game. Zig Forums, Zig Forums, and /m/ each picked a different faction and played this game together for months.
That updated model looks horrible. Well, not horrible but certainly not good.
Kevin Morales
>page 10 Holy fuck is everyone here a zoomer? We had a blast when this game came out.
Grayson Murphy
People wouldn't recognize good online games even if you slapped them across the face with one.
Benjamin King
how. It looks way better than the one on the left with the weird shadows. Right looks closer to the hand drawn anime aesthetic I assume they’re going for
Kayden Cooper
Did you think the original model looked horrible too? Because the way I see it, the boobs hair and face are all improvements.
Ian Morgan
soul soulless
Connor Ortiz
The game died for very good reason, it was the most horrifically unbalanced p2w gacha game out there. I say this having had over 700 hours in the game from what I recall.
Adam Parker
>Gachashit Fuck you OP, I almost googled this garbage because I thought it was a real MMO
FUCK Gacha games and FUCK the retards who play them.
Carter Rodriguez
Is this an MMO in the same way Planetside 2 is an MMO?
Isaiah Watson
No, simply why would we play an MMO instead of real game? The only step down from there is playing a fucking gacha lmao
Julian Cook
It is a real MMO, you just gotta roll the gacha for gear.
Aiden Nelson
You're not wrong, it was gachashit. Which is why it's being rebooted. But it is a proper action game too. Calling it an MMO is a bit of a stretch though, it has hub worlds and shit but everything you do requires entering matches.
Aiden Gomez
Holy shit, definitely interested. What was this game like? I remember seeing art a decade ago but never getting around to trying the game, maybe I assumed it was already dead.
I'm game for coming back if they remove or at least balance the gacha, which was the main reason I quit.
Ian Torres
It's about building your own robots with parts and battling with them. There's cute girl robots too to please that crowd. The artstyle is the best, the entire game has the timeless Megaman Legends feel to it. I can't really describe it well because no other game looks like it.
I didn't have THETA only OG EVE, but that was the only picture I had saved still. Deleted my CB folder years ago thinking I'd not need it again.
Jackson Nelson
What is this, a knockoff KOS MOS?
Adrian Allen
So is the bullshit Gacha confirmed gone? >Got the bad animation? Enjoy not even being able to roll for the good prizes >Got the best animation? Fuck you, here's the crap prizes anyway
I made a centaur mecha girl. But I also remember how pay to win it was.
Maybe I'll give it anotehr god.
Dominic Morales
why does it look worse
Jacob Ross
So, do you think they will remaster the p2w mechanics and the gacha? I enjoyed the gameplay and the robot building but I left after realizing how p2w it was.
Ryan Powell
Because it's a java game and the year is 2020.
Ayden Richardson
i remember when someone had that goth chick and literally no one could hurt her
Aaron Young
Ace Online? I liked the ones that could turn into tanks.
Henry Thomas
I'd rather have SDGO back. Without the bullshit gacha that they actually made worse in the NA version.
