There is no game with this much attention to detail, this much accommodation for gamers and this much love and passion put into it. It's a beautiful execution of an ambitious vision and as much as its lauded now, it's status as a classic and a milestone in gaming will only truly be understood years later.
I don't know what Naughty Dog was thinking giving this game to a bunch of autists who only see "REVENGE BAD" and "MUSCLE GIRL UGLY. I think you genuinely need life experience and maturity to understand some of the narrative choices and why the story didn't end at the idyllic farm.
Hate it or love it, this is the definitive pleb filter.
and yet, its gameplay is completely unchanged from the first game, the weapons are all ported over with 0 functionally new weapons, the enemies are all the same (aside from dogs), the story is worse, and the open levels get boring to explore after 5 hours.

MHW? Yes.
Ian Rogers

Wyatt Miller
thought it was rdr2 and i was about to post "i agree" take your damn reply and choke on your vomit retard
Thomas Thompson
They bothered to make the characters squint if you zoom but they didn't bother with the disappearing bodies?
David Morales
The target audience for this game doesn't play video games.
Luis Diaz

Liam Foster
What RDR2 mod is this?
Nathaniel James
>and yet, I didn’t play it
Brayden Allen
It's a great game which has filtered a lot of retards, but there's no need to be a patronising flake
Chase Mitchell
no you are just a dumb pretentious faggot
Landon Ortiz
I like skyrim too and have good memories of it from when i first explored it, but why would you install a mod that lets you play as the jew tranny thing from that tranny fantasy game designed to make young white boys want to cut their dicks off and have their dads jailed
Aiden Reyes
that's a pretty weird reaction considering none of what I said is false.
>the alarm clock in Ellie's bedroom is functional >If you jump in water, when you come out and view one of your letters or diary they will be wet >if you slide in mud then pull out your gun afterwards, the gun will be muddy but only the parts not covered by the holster >you can determine how many arrows you have by looking at Ellie's backpack >Abby's vertigo is triggered if you walk to a ledge >bubbles underwater reflect ellie's face in real time >the entire museum scene is a masterclass in attention to detail and must have been thoroughly researched. The credits even feature a thank you to Smithsonian Museum for helping Naughty Dog with the details >glass breaking sound is most realistic in any game >Rope physics. Enough said. >every last goddam mirror is functional
Then there's narrative details. An example is the ridiculous number of parallels the game features
>Owen saves Ellie's life in Jackson when Jordan wants to kill her. Ellie ends up killing Owen >Joel saves Abby's life in Jackson when she's chased by zombies. Abby ends up killing Joel
praising depth of detail is pretty cringe in a game where it blatantly comes from having unoccupied artists and programmers working with no direction for months at a time
Owen Foster
you didnt play it right. >normal

TLOU2 cemented home why PC gamers desperately need their own board, for their sake as much as ours.
Seeing AAA console exclusives come out creates a storm of anger and jealousy, which can’t be good for them. This then destroys any mildly productive threads about new games which doesn’t break down into PC gamers furiously shit posting because they feel they’re missing out.

I dont know, this Game seems more like the Type of Game for People to FEEL smart. Like, with it THEMES and the FEELINGS it trys to convey so that people can write the Rick&Morty Copypasta but Change the Title with "Tlou Part 2" and can be smug about it. It is very good at acting smart and philsophycal but if you really dig into it, you see that under the surface its only pretty graphics, average Gameplay and a story trying way to hard to be smarter than it actually is.
Jace Baker
played it on hard with enemy-related options turned to survival
Juan Price
Yeah agreed OP.
9/10 it's a beautifully heartfelt masterpiece. The gameplay is amazing and so intense it can have me sweating sometimes. That feeling of possibility the first time you come across Seattle is one of the greatest video game feelings I've had, and I'm in utter shock that one of the best looking games of all time is running on 7 year old hardware. Although it didn't reach some of the emotional peaks of the first game, I found this one to be much more mature and a genuinely genius use of the video game medium to show different perspective. The encounter where you play as Abby chasing Ellie down genuinely gave me chills. I totally picked up what the game was putting down there in terms of its message. While it might not be my favourite game on PS4, I feel comfortable saying its the greatest game on the console.
It excels at making the people who play it feel very intelligent and mature. Then it's no longer "I like this game" it's "I am a very good person and I appreciate what should be appreciated and anybody who doesn't is inferior to me"

>Then there's narrative details. An example is the ridiculous number of parallels the game features
>Abby shoots an unarmed Ellie and only spares her thanks to other people intervening >Ellie spares a helpless Abby on her own will
>Abby completes her revenge without killing anyone else in the process >Ellie kills everyone in the process without completing her revenge
>Abby is now a post-Ellie Joel >Ellie is now a post-Sarah Joel
