How did Bloodstained fuck up so badly that it couldn't even top a GBA game?
>How did Bloodstained fuck up so badly
I didn't think it did. I like AoS better but I still had a fuckload of fun with Bloodstained
It's way too easy to be a good game.
AoS, sotn and cotm are the trinity of top tier
I don't like the anime castlevania
Why can't they go back to the 1-4 aesthetic
Are you implying there's a limit to how good a GBA game can be?
What are you talking about? The gothic style is cool as fuck. Unless you're talking about the time Konami randomly decided that Castlevania was gonna be weebshit but only for like two games
Did you even read his post?
Shit you're right, sorry, I'm driving and holding a baby and I wanted to take a sip of my beer
Don't forget to hit the bong while you're at it
>I paid a large sum of money to get a fucking doghead as enemy, also, a devil cat nya
>upvote me
fucking leave here retard
BASED schizoposter
>want that great sword upgrade?
>here's your 0.1% soul drop rate bro
what the fuck were they thinking with how weapons are in dos
The answer is that they had Harmony of Dissonance being developed at the same time. They learned a LOT of things from Harmony and improved them for Aria.
How does anyone get impressed by this game? Seriously. Aria was the first castelvania game I played and I beat it a few months ago. I did not feel it was that impressive of a game and when I played sotn it completely blew the game out of the water. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy Aria but people who act like it's the best or at least 2nd best igavania are out of their god damn minds.
The shard system is way better than aria's soul system and overall has a lot more mechanics and polish similar to sotn. It's only crime compared to aria is how ugly the game is but it was bearable enough for me to enjoy everything else
the stupid ass crafting system and nonexistent drop rates are why I never go back to DoS even though I'm fond of almost everything else
I just want to play video games, not grind for 20 hours in a game that would otherwise take a few comfy hours at most
>I just want to play video games, not grind for 20 hours in a game that would otherwise take a few comfy hours at most
So then why do people praise aria. The drop rates for souls are just as bad. You don't HAVE to grind and the souls you need for the true ending aren't that hard to get but if you want to get every soul and play around with them it'll take you a long time, especially since those fuckers purposefully made 2 of them obscure to get unless you look up a guide
What's the hardest igavania game? I played SOTN not so long ago and was disappointed with how mind numbingly easy it was.
because even the rarest souls in Aria take like 5 minutes to grind for at most and you only need fucking one of each to get the intended effect, and there's no weapon grinding at all
order of ecclesia
The game still has fucktons to offer compared to most contemporary games. I'd say that if it got released today it'd definitely review very favorably.
Dawn is just much more offensive than Aria because souls are needed for weapon crafting, 100% it is infinitely more offensive. There's three branching paths on the short/long sword path and that has a fucking Iron Golem soul in the path.
Love Symphony, but Aria is so much faster and refined. Soma just zips along and it's very responsible. Alucard bloody floats when he jumps and lands. The soul system is great and leads to tons of customization. Though I wish the drop rate wasn't so bad. The games could have benefited from a soul store to help.
Actually yeah, GBA is known for its limits on game "weight", the most popular case was the first game of Phoenix Wright being too heavy for the GBA so the team decided to reuse sprites, the end result was really good though, I cannot imagine a Phoenix Wright where Larry disappeared after the first case.
It's been a long time since I played Aria and I'm not following your conversation but I'm almost certain I spent like at least an hour running in and out of a room killing a candle or a gargoyle or a chandelier or some shit over and over again for some kind of drop or something
>still has fucktons to offer
Such as??? The game is piss easy, fairly short, most weapons are garbage especially end game, only 1 good boss but it has replayability because every enemy has a soul? If the game was bigger then all of the souls might be fun to play around with but the game is just too short and easy to make it worth grinding and trying out every soul. The game doesn't even give you a mode where you get all souls similar to how circle of the moon gave you a mode that unlocked all cards after you beat the game.
Refined??? What? It's a straight downgrade. The only thing you have is that endgame (literally like last 5% or less of the game) you get black panther that allows you to zoom around the map.
Fuckloads of build options and cool sprites amd bosses and shit
I'm not that guy I'm just listing what I like about the game
Her game is better. Aria is too fucking easy
Do you just not play video games any more or what?
>Soma just zips along and it's very responsible.
I assume you mean responsive but yeah I totally get it, his bat form is amazing too, the instant transformation and fast flight speed made for some pretty sick pinch dodges. It really makes you FEEL like a bat-man.
>most weapons are garbage especially end game
The CS is one of the most broken weapons in the entire series.
I know people shit on Dawm of Sorrow's artwork, but I loved the intro.
The game never feel like it really has build options unless you play the game a bunch and know enemy weaknesses, what souls to get, etc. You can say that adds replayability but when the game is so easy not really unless you're a speedrunner. The sprites are cool I will give it that and the bosses, while most are easy, are cool. Julius is the only good fight but pretty much every fight visually looks awesome except headhunter.
>"her game"
incel
Basically all bosses in Iga's CVs are extremely trivial, OoE being functionally the only exception. At least bosses don't flinch when you hit them like they do in SotN.
