I read some articles and my conclusion is that no more than 3 hours a day, if you play more than that on a daily bases, chances are you're fucking up your life. Honestly doing productive things an setting a playtime as a reward will make you appreciate more vidya. Also, set a timer if you can.

Depends on your scheduling. If I've got literally nothing else going on that day, I'll easily play from when I get home from work until midnight. That's about 5-6 hours. Most weekdays I have other shit to get done, and I play about 1 or 2 hours. Fridays I'm usually doing something with friends, I usually won't play at all. Saturday and Sunday are mostly chores, but I'll fit in 3/4 hours. I manage this while remaining a functioning adult with a job, and at least 2 other hobbies. That said, I also don't plan on having kids ever.
