It's just a single/co-op expansion being marketed as a sequel to please investors and pad out blizzards absolutely barren release schedule.
If the story events were anything to go by, its either a complete joke or nearly impossible without perfect flawless execution. It won't be fun either way, and it only appeals to people who want a story out of overwatch, which isnt even a good story to begin with and people sure as fuck didn't play it for.

it would be a insanely out of character move for blizzard to take this as a opportunity to rebalance and overhaul the entire game. they absolutely fucking won't, but it would be nice if they unfucked the years of shit fixes and unclogged the awful chokepoint maps with new designs. maybe in the parallel timeline where this company hasn't been reduced to a smoking pile of feces, we could get something so nice- but not this one.
