Ghost looks atleast like a very polished game. Sony delayed it due to corona and gave the team more-than-needed time to squash bugs and such.

who fucking cares about the assets? assassins creed has never been fun, occasionally atmospheric, the climbing is not too bad but the fighting and the missions and pretty much all of the game of all of the games is fundamentally unredeemably boring

i played kangz and tried odyssey. i still don't get why kangz was so praised and odyssey didn't seem that bad, but that was because i was having fun taking advantage of the broken sparta kick ability to bother with the rest

Kangz wasn't a bloated mess and was more hand-made than Odyssey which is criticized for its copy and paste assets and quests.

Watched previews for this and Watch Dogs 2 from jewtubers and it was hilarious. They couldn't even be fucked to give them interesting shit to play to cover up the fact that their two biggest releases, this and Watch Dogs 2, are just yet another shitty asset flip they're shitting out onto the market. I had some mild hope for this game since they said they were bringing back some long-time features fans enjoyed, but I was not surprised at all to see that this just translated to a couple more hiding spots and a hidden blade. At the very least I expected them to fix the horrendous character design and animation problems that Odyssey had, but I guess that was just too hard to do when you can just reuse them all.

It will be a massive success and there's nothing seething virgin incels can do about it :) xx

Valhalla will suck, of course, it's a cashin meant to get the most out of the AC:Or engine, Just like Revelations and Rogue. The next game will be more impressive and "next-gen" and will wow people. it will still be a glitchy undercooked mess, of course, that is consistent throughout.

Reddit has huge amount of users though. It's not just a "vocal minority" but a substantial part of the online consensus.

Unity is so underrated. It's one of the few AC games that felt like an actual sequel

Naval Phase: AC3, AC4 and Rogue
New Gen Revamp Phase: Unity, Syndicate
Mythology Phase: Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla

Not him, but my gripe with latest AC games has always been the animations. The transitioning between moves in combat just does not feel smooth at all.

Also, dodging animation in Odyssey looks stupid. You go back a mile with barely any animated input. Janky at best.

For example, the flow of combat animations in Witcher 3 felt very smooth - the combat itself wasn't good but animations were great.
