videogames?

Unity for the best parkour/animations/world design/graphics/combat/assassinations
AC2 & Brotherhood for the best story
Black Flag if you're into naval warfare
Everyhing else is hot garbage

start from the first one and play it in order. spinoff games and books are optional

AC1, 2 and brotherhood. Dont bother with rest.

>Brotherhood
>story
What. Maybe it's because 2 had a tightly written story (random time skips notwithstanding), but Brohood barely had a story. In 2, your goal is to assassinate every member of a conspiracy that killed your family, and every story mission is in some way in service to that goal. Not exactly going to win a Nobel prize in literature, but not a bad plot as far as vidya goes. Meanwhile in Brotherhood, your only goal is to kill Cesare Borgia, and to that end, you spend 40 hours dicking around Rome killing randos and buying real estate.

Don't listen to this guy.... Just play the original one. It has the best historical setting (you know the one where the ASSASSINS actually existed), a neat story and is not filled to the brim with unnecessary bullshit. I actually kind of feel like replaying it now...

I only have experience up until AC 3 but I've played them in order and think you should too. The story isn't super but it's still a part of the games and the present time sections will suck if you don't know what's going on.

>AC1 - garbage but short, just get it over with
>AC2 - great with beautiful Venice and Firenze
>ACB - even better with good story and you really feel how the Borgia suffer from your actions until they are destroyed
>AC revelations - Not that entertaining as it's set in istanbul but it wraps up Ezio's story and the ending where he meets Altair is very nice
>AC3 - Worse than AC1 imo, Connor is a super boring angry assassin, the game is riddled with bugs and the UI sucks

Ac 1 is garbage, becomes a boring grind after the first 2 hours. AC 2 is good. I haven’t played the rest because asscreed is horse shit

Odyssey

Play AC1, AC2, AC Brotherhood, AC Revelation. Drop. Maybe play Black Flag if you likes ships.

It's a shit game tho, it's just too old, let it go

Start with assassin's Creed 2 then play the two expansions after. Skip 3 and then play black flag

3 is the best one next to 2
black flag isn't even assassins creed

Just replayed all of them up to 3. The 1st and 3rd are objectively worse than any others in the series

Assassin's Creed 1 is the only game that is across the board good. The stealth isn't deep but it's effective, the combat is simple but it utilizes all of its mechanics well, the missions and assassinations are memorable and the design of the game blends everything together pretty well. Assassin's Creed 2 isn't bad either but 1 is definitely the best game.

OP, playing Black Flag at the moment and it's very comfy. First AC and everyone keeps telling me they're all the same, so it seems I made a wise choice because the cogs are becoming apparent and I don't feel like starting another one after this.

The original one is the most fucking padded of the bunch. Well, until Origins/Odyssey, which became padding and loot boxes: the game. There's three and only three fucking activities to do for each assassination, and you have to do them over and over again, and you're always required to schlep back and forth from the headquarters to do anything.

3 is filled with so much pointless garbage and collectibles that literally unlock nothing besides outfits and maybe 2 weapons that are useless because 1 hit counter into chain kills make every weapon pointless

No one asks you to do pointless garbage
Who unironically does anything other than story in ubisoft games outside of altairs armor

Only Ass Creed 2 worth the attention. The rest are the same and Ass Creed 1 is outdated as hell

Unity is has the best gameplay
Black flag has the best immersive setting
Ac 2 & Brotherhood have the best story

Do not touch the rest of the games. Asscreed is a shit tier franchise in general but those 4 games mentioned are actually good in their own right.

>Revelations
Ah yes when shallow world building and woke politics entered the franchise. Fuck that game.

Ezio Trilogy and Black Flag are worth playing.

Exactly there's not even a secret armor in 3 because there is no armor. Nothing cool to unlock just pointless grind

Odyssey and Origins are the best :>

Trash, I don't want a shittier version of Witcher. I want my assassin's Creed back

I went 1 > 2 > Brotherhood > Rogue and had my fill. I'd like to see more of Shay than anything.

Odyssey is better than Witcher 3. Maybe not Witcher 2, but easily better than 3 (aside from Witcher 3 DLCs which are amazing).

Rogue was just a shittier version of 4. The only good thing Rogue brought to the table was the shanty Shallow Brown.

Who cares fag, templars rule assclowns drool.

I never played any AC games before, got 1 and 2 and enjoyed both.

3 isn't even number one in any category or comparison. About Black Flag I already mentioned the focus is on the naval warfare, if OP is into that.
Dude let go of your nostalgia already, the first one drags like a slog and it's among the most boring in every aspect.

Honestly, don't bother. The story that was being told stopped with AC3 when the original creator left Ubisoft. Maybe play Black Flag, but just ignore the other ones.
