What was the biggest waste of money you ever did spent on a video game?

I got sucked into mobas and bought skins
I bought overwatch on launch
Other M.
For Honor on release. Friend talked me into it. I never pay full price for a game especially since industry jewery pumped the price up to $60 for new games. I did the tutorial, played 5 games online and haven't touched it since
Bought crates on overwatch.
Bought WarZ, later known as Infestation: Survivor Stories. Cost me only 3,74€, but it's still the biggest waste of money I have ever experienced.
>I never pay full price for a game especially since industry jewelry pumped the price up to $60 for new games
Honestly this isn't even true anymore, you are expected to buy the "season pass" or your game will feel incomplete so it is now at least $80 for a new game.
Bought Dark Souls 2 at launch. I truly thought it was going to better than DS1. Ruined the whole series for me
Full price game for 50 bucks.
we all know that pain user
Huh? It was better.
Dungeon Siege 3, friend talked me into buying it on release so that we could play on steam together. Genuine garbage.
Age of Conan.
Bought it at launch and ended up cancelling my sub in 3 days.
Why is it called season pass anyway
Diablo 3, bought the big ass collectors edition and a second copy to actually play. That was the end of my consoom.
What shits me is that I got into the beta and saw a whole bunch of problems and was like "it's a beta, they'll fix those things or at least improve them"
Never again.
Sleeping Dogs. I somehow got myself really hyped up about it and bought it at full price. Fucking awful game in every way, a shitty soulless GTA spinoff.
It's a remnant of when it was used only for online games and so paying for it would last you an entire season. Now that they've hamfisted it into single player games they keep using the name out of habit even though sometimes it lasts for like a year. Some people have the sense to be ashamed of the name and call it something like a "deluxe edition" instead.
The devision bought the gold edition thinking it was going to be destiny on steroids Ubisoft PR should be put against the wall
I have never been so disappointed in my entire life. I tried numerous times and it was just so damn boring. It has NO story, shitty gameplay, and tacked on Destiny-esqe rpg elements. I literally fell asleep plying this game (not in a good way).
I paid full price for Hyrule Warriors (Switch) digitally and barely played it but thats about as bad as it gets. I'm not dumb enough to be a gacha cow or something
Cant even imagine playing vanilla DaS1 or 2 AND on console. Glad I started on the series late.
I went through a phase and bought all the CK2 dlc.
Bought a PS3 late gen and all the games I wanted to play were kind of a pain in the ass to find and everything else was a multiplat I'd already played
when I was 11 and played a game called small worlds when it first launched. I used to get 10$ allowance for mowing the lawn(it was like 1acre). I did a lot of work but I was really fit as a kid. I ended up spending like over 100$ at least for stupid cosmetics and costumes.
On the flipside the best purchase I've ever made is garrysmod for 10$ and morrowind goty edition 4$. I have over 4000hrs in each.
Bought the mini nes and snes. Hacked the two of them with a shit load of roms. Even got the extension for the controller cable.
Only played each of them a couple of times, they're gathering dust somewhere in my house.
I wouldn't mind but I already had a full size snes and a everdrive. Barely played that and it's sitting in my attic in a box.
Weird thing is I feel compelled to get the mini Sega and ps1 as well.
I guess I'm a console hoarder
Kinda wish I had one of those right now, my father seems bored during the quarantine and modern games give him motion sickness.
Assassin Creed Black Flag. It is not bad game but still worse game i ever bought. I also bought older PS4 and they stopped working after week. That was bad idea.
Art style is bland as fuck and the movement is not nearly as crisp as Tribes wtf was I thinking.
Bioshock Infinite + Season Pass preorder
Escape from Tarkov. looting simulators with 5 seconds of combat is boring as hell. only got it because my friends got it. played it a few times and dropped it.
guild wars 2 bought gems.
