It's not really the DivOS system at all, though. There's similarities in how projectiles work, but things like turn-based combat aren't exclusive to DivOS. Everything they've shown so far looks far closer to 5E than DivOS

Just play Divinity Original Sin and the sequel to get a feel for what the basis of the gameplay will be, just a bit more adherent to DnD rules.
As to the world itself, you've still plenty of time left to play BG 1 and 2, especially if you are not fool enough to fall for Early Access.
