Nintendo Switch

Should I sell my Odyssey Edition Switch for like 500 bucks and buy a new model switch? Is the new model significantly better?
Also, Comfy Switch thread. What are you playing?

who would buy that garbage?

why...would you do that?

Yeah. Who would buy a console in high demand during a time when they're in low supply don't have much else to do?

What are the essential games for switch? Not interested in botw but everything else goes, gonna try to pick one up next week.

>sell old switch for $500
>lose $100 from fees and shipping costs
>"oh shit now i don't have a switch"
>buy new one for $400 because they're in high demand

Dunno about any "essentials" but

Super mario odyssey is a decent 3D platformer with cool worlds but it gets repetitive.

Animal crossing if you like the idea of building and decorating your own island for others to visit.

Smash ultimate if you have friends who also play. Otherwise it is frustrating to play randoms.

Like I said, possible improvements on the new model are tempting.
Mario Maker 2 is essential, infinite mario gameplay in one game.

to flex on poorfags

if you wanted to flex on poorfags you would buy one of the actually nice limited edition switch versions like the dq or ac ones

It is disappointing how their mascot's edition has no distinguishing features except for joy cons which you can buy separate and the carrying case. Box is nice I guess.

well it was one of the first ones, i'm sure they'll have a good one with botw 2 and their next big mario game

Can't people make their own "worlds" now? Is anyone doing cool stuff with that?

I love Bayonetta games, wonderful 101 and astral chain are both solid platinum. Splatoon 2 is great third person shooter if you're into that. Mario Maker 2 is great as someone else said and I didn't like odyssey but a lot of people will suggest it.
My favorite switch games are Xenoblade and Three Houses if you like JRPGs (and even if you don't they're both good intros)

yeah unless you keep it docked 247 the battery is worth it. i use handheld more than docked and portability was a factor. either that or enjoy having it plugged into a giant battery all the time.

Yeah I played a full game called super booyo world last week. was pretty great

Oh forgot to mention but hyrule warriors was awesome if you're into that sort of thing

You probably aren't gonna get 500 unless that shit is brand new. Also whats so special about the mario odyssey edition? The case looks alright but its literally just 2 red joycons.

is hyrule warriors better than fire emblem warriors? hyrule is never on sale, but fe is almost always under $30

Smash and Mario Kart are essential if you're playing with friends locally. The online kinda sucks but unfortunately you need it to play the best switch game, Tetris 99

I keep thinking about getting it but probably have 30-40+ hours left on Xenoblade Chronicles DE and I just bought Bug Fables... might get it later though, had the first Mario Maker and it was fun.

You should sell it and not buy another nintendo product ever again

One of the bigger reasons I'm picking one up is platinumgames titles since Bayonetta 3 is soon too. Which Xenoblade game is better?

Wait for a better version like a "new Nintendo switch" or a "pro nintendo switch"

a-a-any day now bros....

I went with Xenoblade 1 because the impression I got was that the story and characters are better. Seems like it was the right choice but I haven't tried 2.

>used switch for $500
doubt it, especially since you can buy the mario red joycons separately

Hackable model is worth more than the new model, tbqh

I'd wait for the Pro. I mean, what are you going to do with it? Switch has nothing going on right now assuming you've owned one all this time. Mine's been collecting dust for months

>Bayonetta 3 is soon
>haven't seen a single ounce of gameplay
It's Holidays 2021 at a minimum

You should just sell it because the Switch is at it's end, Paper Mario is the last Nintendo game set to release on the hardware.

You can hack the V2s now.

Are your parents cousins?

Is V2 Mariko, or the middle child

>or
Yes.

>no counter argument
Switch is dead in the water, can't wait for PS5 to blow it out of the water this holiday season, Sell your Switch now.

Just off the top of my head. BotW2? Nintendo is very obviously not done with developing for it.

Looks like the Mariko hack is a modchip, so that's kinda shitty vs the easy to hack and coldboot OG models. All for slightly better battery life, I dunno pham

>Sell your Switch now.
I've been selling them left and right since Corona started in March. I've sold about 40 of them thus far for +$30 to +$200 a pop. All bought from Amazon with gift cards earned from ripping off Gamestop

>botw2
>set for release
That games a few years off at this point.
