You unironically aren't wrong. Gacha, and all other variants are basically virtual booster packs.

except this one is a real world good with actual value that does not change if the game developers decide to change/shut down the game in any way
furthermore a physical good cannot be altered and will always remain the same retaining the same functions, it cannot be nerfed for example

I sold all my MTGOnline cards and bought a PC years ago, right after I did, they introduced Magic Arena and the 'value' of those 'cards' tanked. so glad I got out when I did.

also nobody can stop you from reselling a physical good, where in most virtual games the contents you receive from lootboxes are hardly ever allowed to be traded

Original one are those vending machines with the capsules.

Yes you have a physical good that will always persist, but its value flucuates depending on the card designers. Ignoring erratas and banlists that can render your cards obsolete, some cards are simply better than others or at least better for your deck or style of play. This means that you can open a booster and the contents will be worthless to you. If you saw the contents beforehand you could make a judgement on whether they were worth the price to you or not. Otherwise it's a literal gamble.

Not to mention the secondary market can decide that what you pulled is cheap shit.

Have you considered a dev can ban you and wipe out your entire collection with little reason and you have no recourse against it?

You can get banned from real life events sure but you still have your collection that you can still resell.

Dont booster packs always have x common/uncommon/rare cards in them compared to lootboxes ehich could be 4 commons

funny you say that because during old school yugioh in Japan, the card distribution in sets were so bad that the chances of pulling as simple as a rare were so low that you often had packs filled only with commons.

There was gambling before Magic you mong. People have been scamming other people since the advent of civilisation.

What's your opinion about our guy Rudy hoarding old sealed product?

*to own the jews, yes

the cope

If there's one thing based as fuck about China it's their disregard for juden copyshit law.

There are people who sell their phones if they get something good in certain gacha games.

Guaranteed rarity levels tho. It's different. DON'T MOCK MY CARDBOARD CRACK HABIT FUCKER

>sell their phones

Not even, you've got accounts with no links to a e-mail or social media and you got an account that you can just sell the log-in info for.

except people can resell their cards because they actually have value over virtual pixels on your phone, don't @ me.

@

>pretty sure some MtG cards are illegal to resell
Explain.

>become a dealer of expensive cardboard
>enough to support a luxurious lifestyle, just for fun vintage deck is worth tens of thousands of dollars
>be gacha shitter
>spend thousands on pixels
>no investment konami, wizards of the coast or whatever chinese site gets all your money
besides you can buy singles nigga, most people would rather buy the box and sell the 200 dollar mythic rare (something you can't do no matter now much you spend on gacha)

You can sell your accounts as well.

Where? I have an account with like half the sets in current standard mostly complete where I dropped like 500$ into it, before deleting the game off my computer.

>get bored of mtg
>sell your deck for a few hundred dollars
>get bored of gacha shit (which will happen extremely fast)
>left with a bunch of anime girl jpegs you could have looked up online for free
oh no

capsule machines have existed for over 100 years you literal retard
