Nah Min Min is legit, comp Smash as a whole is on haitus due to covid and losing some top personalities. Min Min is probably the strongest counterpick character in the game with a top tier bait and punish game that fucks over lame zoners and anyone who has predictable bad habits whether they be jumping in at you or recovering low, Min Min can cover just about anything.
Esam and I think Cosmos are picking her up, among others. Leo says she's fun too.

speaking of minmin's pros she has created some of the most consistent rage quits I've seen. and I thought people thinking Terry t-bagging from doing command inputs was bad.

She is a first party and there was no initial mystery beyond people infighting over which ARMS character would be the chosen one. Regardless, her playstyle was interesting enough to bring people back to the game, even compfags were commenting on her potential to be really OP. Byleth came out of nowhere but the combination of the high expectations at the time (last pass character before pass 2 was announced) and her playstyle just being Frankenmarth only made people have less interest in her. Her direct was completely overshadowed by the pass 2 reveal.

Fine character, everyone was too busy talking about the pedo drama right after she came out. I think Grimr or whatever was hosting a minmin invitational tournament and half the people in it got exiled from smash forever so it put the brakes on the hype for sure.

She's 'expected', there's not much to talk about her. Byleth was controversial, which is why it was still a talk for months and even now. There's few people who care about her legitimately beyond just "lmao clout" and only devoted ARMs fans or waifu fags legit care about her.

god i fucking wish smash threads would be filled with more people like you. min min so far has just been my favorite character to play as. there's just something so satisfying about reading my opponent's movements and being able to kill easily with the ram ram or dragon laser. she's easily one of the best dlc characters so far moveset wise. i really hope sakurai makes more characters that break the traditional smash moveset template
