>honours student
>is a complete retard
How is this realistic?

How is this realistic?
Speaking from personal experience, incredibly so
You know, I liked that despite being presented as a Mary Sue she has just average intelligence. Still, she's quite educated in Zig Forumsness.
I knew a guy in high school that got A's in everything but was a fucking moron in real life.
accurate
Yes.
If you are smart enough, you can get straight A's and have a social life. But most likely not.
If you don't, then you are imbalancing work vs social balance to those A's. Even if the gap between straight A and B+ is minor for very little gain.
It also depends on school. Enviroments where groups perform as groups? Those groups will have higher grades and better social life.
So its again a kind of commentary on how the Nip school system works, where many threads are still common for the West.
Yes, 100%
No matter what kind of prestigious award or institution we're talking about, you will always be surprised at the kind of idiots that managed to qualify
I have an IQ of 110 and I was shit at school and completely suck at life.
Chris Chan was on the honor roll and look how he turned out.
34 ACT honor student here, as an adult I smoke weed and count shit at a warehouse. Somebody stop me
Literally probably 99.9% of the people I know who got super good grades are absolute fucking retards. Getting good grades is just fucking memory retention.
Literally me
>how the Nip school system works
Only knowledge I have of nip school system is through anime and manga, so pretty much none, but is it really that bad? I mean, it's always shown tht to get top grades, they literally do nothing but study day in day out, go to after school classes, just to get a 92 on a test. How fucking insanely difficult are their standardized testing?
I got 31, and I'm a NEET. But I also had dog shit grades so idk
I was a complete retard who had straight As throughout my school years. The moment I left high school was the moment I lost the one and only thing I was good at (getting good grades). I'm shit at everything else.
Welcome to persona
>makoto is student council president but a total retard
>Mitsuru is student council president but a total fucking retard
I'm noticing a pattern here.
when i went to school it's insane how many people did math without understanding why it works or what problems it's solving or what it's even doing.
so many people were faster than me as well but when the teacher gave them a new problem that could be solved with what they already knew they were stumped. they couldn't think with what they knew because they didn't understand it.
Yeah, it's true to life, women are fucking retarded
I was part of the student council as the treasurer, only because no one else wanted the spot. I got 5s on all 9 of my AP tests, As in all of my classes, and a 2340 SAT score. College was also all As too and I can tell you that I do stupid shit all the time and feEl like an idiot. Most people are surprised I was even ranked first in HS.
The school pretty much let him be on honor roll out of pity for him.
You only need to be in the top 40% to be on the honor roll in Chris' small town high school and he had pretty mediocre grades.
>Have 142 IQ
>Consistently get A's across the board
>Treat like a retard because of messy handwriting
>Poor level of fitness
>Only my history teacher gives me any credit
>Pretty girl with 110 IQ
>Rarely gets A's
>Has pretty cursive handwriting
>Is really good at running
>Constantly showered with praise and held up as the golden child of the year.
Then people wondered why I stopped caring until I was out of high school.
She's not an honors student in the sense of her grades, she's there as a gynmastics athlete. I don't recall her grades actually being mentioned one way or the other.
>tfw got perfect grades at school but I'm actually just a fucking retard who's only good at memorizing things
I got A and Bs for most of my life but if you ask me to use any knowledge from school outside of it I mentally blue screen.
obviously the girl is praised more because intelligent girls are extremely rare so they wanted to support her. arent you supposed to be smart?
This, getting good grades is easy as fuck if you aren't a fucking retard. I got Bs all around and I did bare minimum. I never studied outside of class too since I was too busy pulling night long jack off sessions to care, though I'm britbong so I imagine you're tests are different.
you sound like a total sperg that just recently took an IQ test online and uses it to validate his apathy to school
Midwits like us are bastardized by society
>wrote the Sopranos ending [cut to black for first person instant death] in a 2004 short fiction about a Great War soldier fighting on the Somme
>Lose points for it because the teacher says the story ended too abruptly (I still suspect she thinks you go to heaven when you die)
>when I was writing the story because I was wondering what it must have felt like for my brother when he was instantly killed
>also argued against my response to Slaughterhouse Five’s ‘so it goes’ as a mental hand wave of death, accepting it quickly so as not to hold on to grief
Teachers really are arbitrary. The people who got the best grades and were treated as the best students by the teacher were the girls who wrote stories about paying attention in class
Fake reality bro
People who boast about their iq are losers
People who do good in school tend to have terrible lives later.
it just means they're a good worker bee
a lot of them are people that can crank out bullshit math like a machine but fall apart at anything abstract
cope
drone
Strange how the entire success of a modern human being is in how skilled they are at performing very specific office work. Your job growing up is ultimately to learn how to write and pass memos, and people really do enjoy cutting you off if you have other goals
Because she's trying her best for someone that literally thinks she's someone she's not.
I was an honor student, but outside of school subjects I was completely retarded. Teachers praised me to high heavens and used me as an example for other students, but I was gullible, didn't know most basic things, sucked pretty bad at pretty much all games except chess, had poor social skills and was terrible with money.
