Another game with better level design and more challenging fights would be good.
The art style, music, and magical girl premise are good, and I even liked how you didn't have to fight random mook battles like every other game expects you to, it was just a bit weak in the other gameplay portions.

It didn't sell well and the costs was slightly more expensive to make than Atelier. Also Atlier re-uses assets to a degree that it nearly killed the series until Ryza where they literally did everything short of have the lead producer apologies for making asset flips.

Would you rather have 1 good game or an endless tide of sequels which lower the quality of the series with every entry?

A niche game amongst niche games. As a JRPG it's extremely classic and safe and as a cgdct it's lame and boring. Blue Reflection has nothing going for it, there is no reason to play it over other games. At least if they delivered on yuri it might have gotten a niche fanbase.
