Go full bull and try to absorb SEGA/Atlus into the company as dedicated second parties.
retire Miyamoto
turn nintendo into a multiplat publisher for Pc, Playstation, and Xbox and discontinue any new console devolopment
enforce a rule that nothing new may be added to any franchises lore. everything must be based on the characters which were already there.
Buy Lilith Software and make a "Nintendo Max" line of adult games
Trademark Bowsette and make a game about it.
as long as it gets Sonic the Hedgehog out of sega's hands i'm down
>You are immediately fired for being a retard
Re-release entire back-catalogue to Nintendo Switch online, no more timegating.
Also get rid of the Paper Mario guy that's been ruining it, retire Miyamoto, and investigate creating new titles from their older shelved IP.
I would make nothing but new Paper Mario games that are nothing like TTYD just to make these idiots seethe
The next game will have nothing but toads and NONE of them will have hats.
Sounds like a quick way to run Nintendo out of business
Make Paper Mario even worse somehow
You probably aren't wrong.
Not really. Most of this is stuff Reggie wanted to implement, but couldn't because he had to kowtow to the JP office.
You could always see the rage simmering in his eyes when he had to say demented shit like "gamers aren't interested in online play". Nintendo stock is pretty valuable given the Switch's success, but it'd be worth far more under better leadership.
Get rid of family plan for switch online, increase subscription to $10, but in exchange, focus on online more than ever. Release a dedicated switch headset for people who don't want to chat through phones (but leave that as an option still). Allow for chat parties. Allow for people to look up profiles of people they play, add them without friend code bullshit, and invite them to games or chat parties. Basically, xbox live but on switch. No gamerscore / achievement bullshit though. Fuck that gay shit.
In addition, keep NES and SNES libraries as a free, streamable service, but also add the N64 library. Decrease the time required to add the libraries to the switch. Also release Gamecube games, but make them $10 each. First Gamecube games released would be Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Baten Kaitos, and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I would allow publishers the choice to opt out of gamecube games (allowing publishers the choice to remaster gamecube games and release them as physical titles such as Square Enix and Crystal Chronicles HD).
Release Mother 3 in the west but call it Earthbound 2 and completely change names in the localization process a la JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
And finally make a sequel to Donkey Konga. Then I would retire after my first year.
>when he had to say demented shit like "gamers aren't interested in online play"
But he's right, its not a primary concern for people who want to play Mario, Zelda and the like. Its not Playstation or Xbox where most of the games are designed around constant internet connectivity and if you don't have a paid subscription you may as well not even own the console. I play all of two Switch games online.
>better leadership
I can guarantee this "better leadership" would run them into the ground because it just sounds like you want them to behave like MS and Sony.
>make a sequel to Donkey Konga
>Donkey Konga
>not Jungle Beat

Is this really the game you want to represent the bongo controller?
>What are your actions as the new Nintendo President?
go to sex dungeons and fuck pornstars or fresh 18 years olds all day with other presidents and make a strong bond between our companies.
Xbox ports.
Come here for the smooth brain replies. You didn't disappoint me, user.
>Get rid of family plan for switch online, increase subscription to $10
>Get rid of the only thing that makes their paid online tolerable
If they drop the family plan I'm not resubbing. I'm not paying $20/year just for Animal Crossing.
And Its $20 for an individual subscription as-is, how could it increase to $10 when its already twice that?
Lol top KEK
I would start an initiative to help Nintendo's standing with third parties. that's always been the issue with them
Nintendo tried to do this with Namco years ago but couldn't because there's some weird Jap law where you can't have too many companies join and become a super company or they might have too much power.
Alright user, what would you do then?
Pocket as much money as I can, release as much source code and and as many dev kits as I can for emulation, leave the company in flames.
But then the PC would have great games which PC players are obviously not interested in
Unless you do some ridiculous Epic Games-tier "if you make/port a game and it flops we'll reimburse you for X hundred thousand copies" you'll fail. Nintendo has tried rekindling connections with third parties and with a couple exceptions like Capcom in the Gamecube era it's always gone horribly. Remember the start of the Wii U era when there were all these random third party games getting ported and not even the people who bought a Wii U wanted them? And then after that first year all third party support completely vanished? That'd happen again, it might take longer due to the Switch's install base but people don't buy multiplats on Nintendo consoles.
i always forget which one is the good one, i meant jungle beat
should have been more clear in my post, go more into detail on the "focus on online more than ever." I wouldn't pay $10/month for the Switch's current online environment. as you said, pretty much animal crossing is the only online game atm. Smash is pretty much unplayable atm. By increasing focus on online, I mean improve the online infastructure for all games and produce more online games than single player games. Add online to the next Fire Emblem, improve the online arenas of Smash (including adding voice chat), improve the lobby system in Mario Kart and Splatoon, etc.
>restructure GameFreak from ground up, appoint the guy who created pkmn red, gold, sapphire back to being a key figure in development and directing instead of just "producer"
>furthermore cancel everything around Sword&Shield, immediately go into production of the new title, full beautifully crafted 3D world, innovative gameplay, exploration and interaction both singleplayer and online, world building and narrative done with care, 150 new pokemon and overall new aesthetic created by an actually good artist. Everyone who owns Sw&Sh get's a 15$ discount when the new game releases
>direct funds into creating a secondary Zelda branch that creates non mainline titles, to give a place for fresh japanese developers to express themselves by creating modern 2D classics reminiscent of oracle of ages/seasons or 2.5D experimental games set in the Zelda universe, in other words peak indie like games with Nintendo quality that release annually.
These two are the key elements of Nintendo, everything else works decently including Smash, Mario, and the few other exclusives that are enjoyed casually. And a decent hardware upgrade so that the new Monster Hunter can be released on it, and 3rd party devs can easily port their games on it.
Release a Nintendo Direct right fucking now
I would put out a Paper Mario HD Collection for the Switch but only include Super Paper Mario, Sticker Star and Color Splash.
Fire Tanabe
Cancel Animal Crossing
Make Super Smash Sisters Xtreme Beach Volleyball
Remove the pay to play online, and focus in making a better netcode,
This but also Tanabe
Embrace microtransactions, lootboxes, shops, pay to win mechanics, increase retail price for game to 1000 usd, amiibos sell for 1000usd, make switch sell for 10000usd but make it so consumer doesn't own it and it shuts off after one year and they hand to renew hardware license to turn back on (also 10000usd) pretty much rape the consumer base HARD and get away with it because their mindless idiots and will buy Nintendo no matter what. Become a trillion dollar company in one month.
>restructure GameFreak from ground up
might sound stupid of me to say, but idk if Nintendo has THAT much control over GameFreak.
I hold a press conference where I tape my eyes back and go "OOOHHHH ME RIKEY DA SUSHI" and then step down.
>Alright user, what would you do then?
Well to start I wouldn't waltz in there assuming I know better than the people who have been running the company when in reality I'm completely, utterly ignorant of how a business like Nintendo is even operated. Anyone who thinks they'd take the job and would immediately create some kind of miraculous turn-around when they'd likely just kill the company is just stupid.
Sell the company to EA.
Everyone buys nintendo consoles for their first party software, not their hardware or ports from third party. This would be an incredibly based move and i'm convinced anyone who wouldn't want it are literal cucks.
>because there's some weird Jap law where you can't have too many companies join and become a super company or they might have too much power.
That's not a "weird Jap law". That's a basic damn antitrust law to prevent mergers that would form a monopoly.
hello fellow ancap brother
Hire the old Genius Sonority guys to make new Colosseum and Stadium Kino, make new Mario Strikers, port P5 to switch
>Cancel Animal Crossing
Yes! Please!
I loved the older animal Crossing but New Horizon feels so clinical and devoid of any heart or personality.
It ditched the whole cozy little Forrest town feeling in favour of something I'd expect to find in a MySims game.
They don't, Gamefreak are fully self owned, and Nintendo can't really afford to spend a billion dollars to gain stronger control over Pokemon, I could only see them doing this in the chance that one of their partners tried to sell their stake to a company like Microsoft or Disney.
So why would you have the company cease manufacturing hardware and peripherals that are very profitable just to develop games for other platforms you have no control over that will be less profitable than games they make for their own hardware?
You'd be fired because you'd be taking an extremely profitable business and making it less or not profitable, you'd be removed promptly because you have absolutely no idea how to run the business.
