how the fuck is this game fun?

I quit playing this game after I touched an orb and got slaughtered by some cthulu horror thing. No game should punish you for wanting to have fun.

its really anti fun like i get the difficulty thing but do devs think RNG is fun??

By making it possible for the enemy to kill you in one hit you already lost, long before the hit came
Managing rng is fun when youre not retarded

The point of the game is not to win the battle, but to win the war. You will inevitably lose some heroes and abandon some quests, but you can always bounce back from it, especially if you're not playing stygian.

Also,
>Remind yourself

>wasting your turn attacking instead of curing your character at death door
Remind yourself

>Why isnt my 90% chance to hit 100%!?

This isn't a hero-squad simulator. It's merciless overlorld who doesn't care about how many meat puppets he has to send out to die simulator.

how the fuck is this game fun?

there is no fun only suffer

That wouldn't be a problem if farming up your your roster wasn't so tedious.

It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to waste time grinding up a new party if yours dies.

>hurr durr you're just bad and stupid bro
I'm bad at a lot of games and I still have fun, retard.

>cheesing the game by going at a snails pace is fun
I'll never get why people play this game past the initial dozen hours

You absolutely dont need to cheese the game to beat darkest dungeon without losing a ton of heroes

Further, the ability to cheese the game would imply a good degree of familiarity with it and at that point you dont even need to cheese it to go without losing a single hero ever.

Hey user, I found a game just for you! No RNG like the ones above. RNG isn't fun after all.

>people still say git gud even if you literally cannot lose outside of Stygian

Absolute cope.
Even if you manage everything 100% perfectly, that game can still fuck your party over.
It's bad game design by any standard.

Your party is not you. You are the mayor and the mayor cannot lose unless you are absolutely terrible at the game.

It's not because you just know the game has some 'babby' mode bullshit built in by the programmers. There is no real RNG in commerical games and it annoys me. Make a game that purposely pulls the RNG seed from some publicly licensed weather station on a second to second basis, the games are all always online these days anyhow.

Even stygian isn't really that hard once you get a grasp on the game's mechanics. I usually finish it around week 70, a bit longer if I'm doing the crimson court.

I will always remember this moment: I've had this Flagellant with a perk and accessories for boons on death door and death door survival. Like 97% chance to survive the hit on death door. The first time actually trying to drop my health and see what it's like. First hit - he dies. Never played again.

Indie games are still biased against human players
>Monster Train
>you get "random" cards that determine your build for this run
>end boss is always the version designed to hard counter that build
Funnest thing is you still can win these bullshitfights if you are good enough.

It's a risk management simulator. The key to victory is managing how much time you want to risk wasting on this piece of shit game before you realize you could be playing something else.

>your entire party getting killed is not losing
Intergalactic cope

>losing one squad when endless more await
>defeat
That's defeatist nonsense.

it's not. Games overly reliant on RNG in general belong in the trash bin.

where the fuck is the hero of our time wake up barneyfag

>But its not TRUE RNG!
Like real nondeterministic RNG would change the plebs opinion on how a game treats their brain dead risk management.

Yes, but it would be a salve to my autistic butthurt... right until something went wrong I guess.
