Huh, never heard that opinion before. white 1 had a great story, meeting a weird eco terrorist Jesus figure throughout the adventure while you battled liberal Pokemon rights activitists only to find out they were being manipulated by a warlord who wanted to take over all of New York state with an army of Pokemon after forcefully taking everyone else's using a false agenda was really cool
White 2, was about some kids wandering around in the aftermath. There's some bad guys left over here and there. Some have turned good. Everyone sort of talks about the events of the first game and add flavor to the world but the story doesn't stand on its own at all. Unless he means "the single player experience"

the only reason people call b2w2 good is because of the post-game-locked version exclusive difficulty switch, the watered down version of the battle dome that is the world tournament and the inferior battle pyramid that is the white tree/black tower. That and a whole lot of misplaced nostalgia.
