It's absolutely nothing like AC. Combat is completely different, you can only climb specific things and you have to actually explore (you can't climb towers to clear parts of the map). It has more in common with TW3 or BOTW.

It is assassins witcher creed far cry samurai edition. Typical clear the outpost, follow the footsteps or enemies in stealth, collect the herbs, upgrade your equipment generic aaa game. Combat sometimes feels unfair, janky and unresponsive but its mostly pretty good. The free running/climbing movement also feels extremely clunky and mechanical at times.
