WoW Classic GM bans a player for annoying his favorite streamer

IIRC WoW was always about griefing and killing low levels with high level toons or camping them at the graveyards. This is as classic as it gets.

You essentially set someone back an hour or so by removing buffs they get from killing other bosses. This occurs with no actual intention to kill the player, just to fuck with them.

WoW Classic raiding revolves around gathering world buffs before each raid. People autistically spend multiple hours every week carefully watching discord channels for timings on when these buffs will drop so they can carefully stack all of there world buffs within seconds of getting them.

Do they need these world buffs to clear content? No, but the meta of the current classic raiding revolves around completing raids as fast as you can (since they are completely braindead and offer no challenge).

Dispelling is when a Priest character on the opposite faction uses their "Dispel" spell to remove the most recent buff acquired by the target player. In this case, it's buffs that can only be acquired at specific times under specific conditions, so they can't just go grab it again.

This causes an insane amount of rage for some autists. Their 28 minute BWL raid will now take 32 minutes. This 4 minute loss will cause them hours and hours of stress and anger.

Classic WoW is complete fucking autism. The game is bad. It's boring. It's too easy. Nothing is a challenge.

Half the buff durations run out while people are trying to organise/get to the raid anyways if they don't get wiped off by PvP deaths etc.

You probably don't play WoW but there's a choice between PvP and PvE servers. If you don't want players to attack you, dispell buffs or bother you, you join a PvE server and other players can't affect you like this.

Hilariously I'm actually on this server and Footgod (the banned player) has been doing this for months on end relentlessly dedicating himself to removing sweaty player's buffs. He dies within seconds of respawning (I"ve even killed him a few times in Org) and waits to respawn until someone with buffs is next to him.

There are lots of well known players on Bigglesworth that are dedicated to griefing players, including a guy that camps lowbies in Hillsbrad Foothills 24/7 named CapnCrunch.

Even more hilariously, the streamer that got Footgod banned is in the guild Desolation, which has a person literally named "Idispel", so the situation is all around bananas as far as a autism filled WoW server goes

This is when I stopped playing Classic. Raiding is so boring. I lasted a month at 60. Recently got back into it and yes, raiding is still confirmed boring. PVP? It's okay but I don't have 1000 gold to buy a mount.
Leveling is truly the best part of the game. Grinding at 60 is BORING.
I'm excited for WotLK. That was my favorite expansion.
